@Resnick_Media Love the Gustafsson pick. Kuehne could also be a solid 3rd pair defensive defenseman if he hits his ceiling. The #Isles got hemmed in their own zone a lot this past season, so Darche seemed to prioritize big, physical defenders who can neutralize plays in the neutral zone.

Overall, a solid draft from Mathieu Darche. He landed one of the draft’s top defensive defensemen in Malte Gustafsson, added two right-shot defensemen in Kuehne and Dravecky, and selected Matyuk and Cowan, who both posted solid numbers last season. #Isles #NHLDraft

@19consecutive Adding Björck would be massive, especially since the #Isles lack an elite center prospect. He and Eklund would also make an insane duo in the top 6 down the line. Hope he will be available — like with Eiserman and Eklund, anything can happen come draft day!

Potential #Isles Targets in the 2026 Draft: Viggo Björck | C/RW, 5’10”, 172lbs The Swedish center/winger has rocketed up draft boards this season due to his playmaking, hockey IQ, and strong showings at the World Juniors and in the SHL, playing top line minutes on a team with Victor Eklund. He’s good enough to go top 10, but If a few teams ahead reach for bigger, “safer” players, Björck could absolutely be there when the Isles pick. Size has caused similar skilled prospects to slide on draft day, and my bet is that a handful of teams will simply choose size over skill and pass. This could be an Eklund 2.0 situation, as he’s already sliding down some mock boards. But Björck’s elite vision, poise, creativity, and two-way game already translate against men in the SHL and I believe the clubs fixated on size will regret letting him drop.

Love this move for the #Isles! Boqvist was second among #TimeToHunt blue liners for both Corsi and Fenwick (min. 200 minutes played). Generates a ton of goals, too. Pure offensive defenseman that couldn’t solidify a spot in Florida. Could be worth the gamble!

@NPedrazzoli32 Saad does have a low shooting percentage (9.3%) compared to last season (18.1%). His PDO is significantly low (96%), however. Could just be a bad case of poor puck luck. Potential rebound candidate?!

To my understanding, the #LeafsForever are the front runner for Saad but nothing is ever for certain, Saad seems like a great fit for the #Isles but with the way they are playing, I wouldn’t be shocked if the roster remains untouched considering the 6 game win streak.

@NPedrazzoli32 Did a quick dive—his 13 takeaways are third among Blues forwards (at least 500 mins played). This would be tied with Cizikas for 5th on the #Isles. Has 33 high danger shots. As a comparison, Nelson has 42 in almost 5 mins more TOI per game.
