Parliament has approved the Traffic and Road Safety (Amendment) Bill, 2023 which will among others provide for a speed limit in the Act to ease the control of speed limit through the express penalty scheme. #PlenaryUg

How is the legal & regulatory framework for #RoadSafety and safer roads? How is the implementation of different road safety regulations in Uganda? How about our postcrash care? How much time does it take for injury victims to access care and how are they transported to hospitals?

In less than 6 hours, over 20 lives have been lost. This means that families are being destabilized and livelihoods lost. Are our vehicles in the right working condition? How about the drivers? Are they trained? How is their working schedule?
