Employers are using the TFW program for occupations that they barely considered a few years ago. Case in point: administrative assistants. Companies were approved to hire > 3,500 of these positions last year, an increase of 3,090% from 2016.

The quotes here may seem hyperbolic. But truly, the traffic situation in Toronto is unbearable and getting worse by the year. I haven't taken a "normal" route on the King streetcar in years.

Here's an example: the Ontario Disability Support Program. Payments are now adjusted for inflation, but that follows a lengthy period of erosion. Adjusted for inflation, total annual incomes in 2022 were down 34% from a peak in the early 90s.

The interaction of public and private disability insurance policies is a critical issue- a proposed amendment to the Canada Disability Benefit bill to address this was not adopted by the government. It should be addressed in federal-provincial agreements.

A key amendment to the Canada Disability benefit and any other type of disability benefit for example a WorkSafe disability benefit or Car Accident benefit should be that all Providers not be able to offset claw back payment from other providers. Especially private insurers.
