i did a solo mdma trip a few days ago and went deep down trying to look at my own loneliness. i was basically, metaphorically and literally, staring down the eyes of my soul and realized that no matter what, i am and will be my only companion on this rock for the next 70 years of my life. there's something about facing that directly, without flinching, that changes you.
the answer is that you truly and deeply love yourself and your company. settle in, because things will be exciting and funny, sad and depressing, lovely and beautiful, heart-wrenching lows at times, peak human experiences at others. but what will be consistent along the journey is you, yourself. i think something in me shifted, and i just love being with myself in a more beautiful, gentler way.

We are focused on the wrong 1%. Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Muslims aren't defunding our schools. Immigrants aren't cutting taxes for themselves and their rich friends. It’s the billionaires and their puppet politicians. The culture wars are a smokescreen. They want us looking left and right at our neighbors instead of looking up at them. The biggest divide in our politics is not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom.
