We've spent years building LlamaParse into the most accurate document parser for production AI. Along the way, we learned a lot about what fast, lightweight parsing actually looks like under the hood. Today, we're open-sourcing a light-weight core of that tech as LiteParse 🦙 It's a CLI + TS-native library for layout-aware text parsing from PDFs, Office docs, and images. Local, zero Python dependencies, and built specifically for agents and LLM pipelines. Think of it as our way of giving the community a solid starting point for document parsing: npm i -g @llamaindex/liteparse lit parse anything.pdf - preserves spatial layout (columns, tables, alignment) - built-in local OCR, or bring your own server - screenshots for multimodal LLMs - handles PDFs, office docs, images Blog: llamaindex.ai/blog/liteparse… Repo: github.com/run-llama/lite…

Merz has called for the systematic review of all EU legislation. That's over 140,000 regulations. Knowing the EU, that will take over 140,000 days. So, I made bettereu.com where Grok 4.1 will review every document since 1958 -> 2025.

Germany's Merz: We must deregulate every sector. I call for a “regulatory clean slate.” Minor corrections to laws are not sufficient. We need to systematically review the whole set of existing EU legislation.

Voice agents are only as good as their ears. If an agent mishears a single digit in an account number or loses the thread when a speaker switches languages, the "magic" of AI evaporates and the customer experience breaks. For voice AI to move from "novelty" to "infrastructure," it needs to work with native-speaker accuracy in the real world, not just in a lab. That is why we’re excited to announce that Soniox is now officially integrated with @LangChain. By combining Soniox’s high-precision transcription with LangChain’s orchestration framework, we are giving developers the tools to build agents that: 🎯 Actually listen: Native-speaker accuracy across 60+ languages. 🔢 Handle the hard stuff: Unmatched precision for alphanumerics (IDs, emails, addresses). 🌍 Switch on the fly: Seamless real-time language switching for global operations. ⚙️ Scale fast: Production-grade integrations that work out of the box. We’ve optimized Soniox for the high-stakes environments where precision is non-negotiable, finance, healthcare, and global customer ops. Now, with LangChain, it’s easier than ever to build these complex systems at scale. We can’t wait to see what the developer community builds with this. Tomorrow marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. To commemorate the special day, here’s the story about Pokémon’s origin straight from its creator, Satoshi Tajiri: In the year 2000, Satoshi Tajiri was interviewed as part of Nintendo Magazine’s online publication. This interview covered Pokémon’s early and humble beginning, why the story revolves around a child (and always will), and how Tajiri’s early life influenced the game’s development and style. It’s been documented plenty of times how the concept for catching Pokémon derived from Tajiri’s childhood - specifically his fascination with catching and examining bugs. In this specific interview, when asked about his childhood influences, he stated: “I was born and raised in [Machida]. It’s pretty rural and had a lot of nature … That’s why there were so many mysterious critters around.” I’m not sure if mysterious is a direct translation or not, but I love the use of the word here. Part of the appeal of Pokémon is the sense of wonder and adventure that awaits every new trainer. This is especially true for children. As an adult, if you were asked to picture a worm, you’d think back to a time where you held one, or saw a picture of one in school. As a child, your imagination runs wild with what a worm ‘could be’ if you’ve never seen one before. Pokémon is designed under this exact same premise. There’s only one way to know for sure, and that’s to experience the discovery yourself. The most impactful part of the interview comes shortly afterwards. While still reviewing the influence behind Pokémon, Tajiri had this to say: “Pokémon will always be about my childhood. I think adults and children see the world differently … that’s why in Pokémon you never see things from the adult’s perspective. [As] a kid, I hated being called ‘squirt.’ Maybe that’s how adults saw me, but I felt like I was more than just a kid. That’s why the protagonists in the games are on the same level as adults.” Pokémon incorporates so many subtle and subliminal elements to it, making it feel incredibly well-rounded and impactful. The games and narrative are designed to show children how they can do/be anything, even as children. It’s for this reason that Pokémon holds such a special place in our hearts. The vast majority of people who play/collect/love Pokémon, started as children. As a child, you’re introduced to a world where you venture off on your own, work to be kind and caring to people and Pokémon alike, make new and exciting discoveries, and become a champion with a team you cherish. How could you not be nostalgic about a feeling like that? After 30 years, Pokémon has grown to become the largest media franchise in the world, beloved by millions. Its monumental success is certainly attributed to a number of elements, and the hard work of thousands of dedicated individuals. But at its core is a simple and lasting message: The world is mysterious to us all in some ways. Adventure, friendships, and new discoveries are always right around the corner. And no matter who you are, or how old you are, your journey and experiences are meaningful and important. Happy Pokémon Day Eve. I can’t wait to experience the day, and hopefully gen 10, with each of you for the very first time. Here’s to the next adventure; cheers! 🥂

EXCLUSIVE: Alexandre Rocha, a father from Iceland, had his 10-year-old son TAKEN AWAY by the court because he OPPOSED the gender transition of his child. "No parent should go through this. Children deserve to live free from radical gender ideology, which pressures them to make life decisions they don't even understand yet." He is currently fighting to appeal this decision, win back his child, and prevent his son from taking dangerous puberty blockers and hormone injections. Wtf is going on in Iceland?!
