interesting dynamics here. A bike/transpo friendly Bend Democrat trying to change e-bike law, but runs into opposition from major nonprofit. So far, optics look like Portland advocates opposing something Bend folks want. not great, but IMO there are real problems w bill.

@TutorBloom @sonukg4india I think you are mixing 2 concepts. When there is no sign infront of the square root it means its positive. When solving equations, and you introduce a square root, then its +/- square root. In this case square root is already there.

@atmendez So Copenhagen has less than perfect infrastructure but still hits 50-60% mode share. But Portland and Ft Collins install some pretty great infrastructure over 12 year period and see declining mode share result while driving VMT continue to boom. What's the secret sauce in CPH?

Hrm. So... sun means the snow will quickly melt and the trails will be muddy. But it was cold enough there's snow and ice in the shady spots, so a road ride is likely not a great idea either.
