Here's my M5 Max report, it's a wonderful chip. The idle is lower than M4 Max while the peak performance is even higher. AI performance is, as you would expect, very very good. I think this is the best laptop SoC on the market, which is no surprise. creativestrategies.com/research/m5-ma…

The #M5Max #MacBookPro is an absolute performance monster but that was to be expected. The real surprise (and I will have to check more reviews to see how representative this data point is) to me are its absolutely insane battery life numbers as posted by @hardwarecanucks 🤯

iOS 26 has been the buggiest release yet, even after the latest (26.1) update.
- The lock screen time randomly shifts off-center
- Spotify displays a strange white bar
- Text overlaps in Safari
- Wireless CarPlay crashing frequently
