@btcquokka yeah, but you get less junk mail than junk email. price really matters! dynamic fees and a fixed space means spam will always get priced out and fail.

the irony is that bitcoin was inspired by an invention that was a solution for email spam (hashcash) - which tried to solve the problem for open systems. bitcoin *is* the solution because all data in bitcoin is paid for and block size is limited. just require users to pay to email you... and your spam goes away. likewise spam campaigns on bitcoin won't and cannot last long. it's expensive, and it *strengthens the hashrate* while doing it. imagine trying to attack bitcoin with spam when it only *makes bitcoin stronger*

This is the right discussion to have. I agree that "if we control spending and technology continues to bail us out" then everything is fine. But (a) the establishment is blocking new technology and (b) it is not controlling spending.

@PrestonPysh @ewarren The argument that with CBDCs we can enforce sanctions and maintain current superpower status is stupid. No country would use another countries CBDC. It will only quicken dedollarization.
