🇧🇪 Belgium will be reactivating its 1st Parachute Battalion which it had previously disbanded in 2011. It will be interesting to see where this unit will be based, as its old garrison, the Citadel of Diest, had been sold to the city of Diest, which turned it into office and parking space.

The real issue is that it was impossible to crew these ships and the carriers simultaneously, they were only likely to ever be crewed if/when the carriers are in refit.

If it turns out that we failed to put air defence over Akrotiri and took a drone strike due to HMT parsimony over operational estimates against the advice of the Chiefs then someone needs to resign, pronto.
