This one caught me off guard. Met a woman running a pet supplement brand in 4 countries at the same time. US, UK, Germany, Netherlands. $3M run rate. Started 14 months ago. Same product. Same funnel. She just translates the ads with DeepL, pays a native speaker €200/month per language to clean the copy, and adapts the payment processors per country. Her CPMs: Netherlands about $14. Germany $18. US $23. Here's the part that fucked with me — her US market is actually her worst performer by ROAS. She keeps it running for brand credibility but her profit comes almost entirely from Europe. Most ecom entrepreneurs treat international as something they'll "get to eventually." She built her whole business around it from day one.
