🚨Today we're publishing a new report on medical misogyny. 🗣️58% of women believe the NHS is institutionally misogynistic, and analysis of nearly 100,000 Mumsnet posts shows repeated experiences of dismissal, disbelief and delayed care. 🔗Read it here: bit.ly/MNmedmisog

Don’t ever believe @bookingcom messages saying ‘an agent will get back to you as soon as possible’. I’ve set out the hapless, hopeless service I’ve had and filled in a customer satisfaction survey - ha! - and nothing has elicited a sensible response.

@wmarybeard @cn150 In the East End of London there is at least one church that became a synagogue and then a mosque.

On the question of whether churches should be allowed to become mosques, let's remember that the Parthenon was originally a "pagan" temple, then was converted into a Christian church, then became a mosque. This kind of conversion is not historically unusual.

Ealing has lost a shining light in my dear friend Cllr @DrAyshaRaza. She was my chosen family - compassionate & fiercely loyal. From garden centre trips to pizza nights, she made ordinary moments extraordinary. I’ll carry her spirit with me always. I’ll miss her beyond words 💔

Despite all of the hot takes on this topic, there is still much to be said about Epstein and his acolytes, and what this rank episode reveals about the inextricability of misogyny and power. But in time, and at a preference, by some really smart women.

In the 6 pieces - by women and men - there is no focus on misogyny and brutality towards women and girls. Tina Brown comes closest, in a piece like Andrew Marr’s in the now standard vein of: why I always knew he was a wrong ‘un. Hers about Epstein, his about Mandelson.

The New Statesman editorial this week starts ‘Before I get into the meat of things - Mandelson, Epstein, Andrew and all that’. They are not the ‘meat’ of this thing; the misogynistic exploitation of women and girls is the thing. Male commentators can’t keep it in focus.
