@liambillington Ashton needs a MAJOR shake up. Neither its Town Team nor its Neighbourhood Board can be bothered promoting tomorrow's (8/4/26) knees up. As for Reform, they turn up at the 11th hour, having said almost nothing about the town in the past. As for TMBC, that below says it all...

@TamesideCouncil TMBC's Facebook (7/4/26) - "Spring Family Festival – Pathway closure notice". Pity we have a Town Team and Neighbourhood Board which can't even be bothered to tell us about the events.

@TamesideCorr "Visitors are being encouraged to plan ahead". It would help if these events were promoted well in advance by TMBC and loudly, not on the last minute with a squeak as has been the case many times. Suggest such a thing and you're kicked into the long grass.
