At 5 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching more strikes against Iran to continue degrading their ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Commander in Chief has directed the strikes to hold Iranian forces accountable.

South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott tells @margbrennan “my hunch was it was a heart attack” after South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham died Saturday evening following a "brief and sudden illness.” “I think we’ll have more information over the coming days, but it appears to have been a heart attack,” Scott (R-SC) says.

Like me, he loved the Senate as an institution, even with all its flaws and complexities.
