Massie, a frequent critic of the president, made a pointed jab at his opponent after conceding: “I would have come out sooner, but I had to call my opponent and concede, and it took a while to find Ed Gallrein in Tel Aviv.” More than $32 million was spent on the primary contest, most of it coming from pro-Israel organizations and Trump-backed groups that helped power Gallrein’s campaign.
