@Sterlin03623126 @GuntherEagleman My understanding is that the sprinkler system kicked in but was overwhelmed because he set several fires in the warehouse. It had to be an exceptionally hot fire, because the firefighters pretty quickly switched to protecting adjacent properties.

@edrichards714 @GuntherEagleman Lots of problems in our country this is just one of them. Crazy the building didn’t have any sprinklers or fire suppression systems since they make such a flammable product.

@Sterlin03623126 @GuntherEagleman He knew what the pay was when he took the job. His option was to resign and seek work elsewhere, not to endanger fellow employees and firefighters, pollute the air, and to make his fellow employees be unemployed.

@Nicholaspkirby @RedsDaily4 His exit velocity and hard-hit percentage are both above league average. His strikeout rate is below 10%, and his BABIP is .107. 31 ABs is the definition of a small sample size.

@RedsDaily4 It's 31 AB's and he has had some pretty bad luck. I just don't get why you want to force other mediocre hitters into the lineup to take the best defensive player in the planet off the field.

@WallStreetApes @scarlett4kids Why exactly would a student ever use a third-person pronoun to address a teacher or another student. The student would use the name or “you.” I ask my wife “What time will you be home?”, not “What time will she/they be home?” It’s purely performative, and butchers the language.

American Art Teacher caught on camera telling her kids that she uses ‘They/Then’ pronouns and it is mandatory to use her preferred pronouns in the classroom She says the class must use preferred pronouns for any students that say they use them as well “I am non-binary. My pronouns are they them. For example, they are a great art teacher. They taught us how to draw a stitch. It is super important to get our pronouns right. If you do make a mistake, I will politely correct you — That goes for me too. So if I ever get your name or pronouns wrong, please correct me every single time”

@BH57183 @WallStreetApes I agree that much of the housing stock built the last 35 years or so is not attractive to younger buyers. But if they are “obsolescent and useless,” wouldn’t their value and eventually their selling price be much lower?

@WallStreetApes We're building the wrong homes. Builders like big mansions for the profit. Most people are single or couples. Maybe a pet. Zoning is from the post-war era. Existing homes are going obsolescent and useless.

American says they she will never be able to afford a home because every home in her area is $500,000 to $1,000,000 She says even looking for something very basic, there is nothing under $500,000 “I cannot fathom ever owning a home. I cannot fathom ever not living in an apartment — honestly, it feels like one of the worst timelines to ever be dropped into this sh*t because everything is so expensive, and I hate that word, but everything is so expensive” We have to bring back home ownership in America

Makes sense. My man seemed like he couldn’t move to block a routine dirt ball Nick Krall needs to be on the phone. Higgins is not a viable backup option, even though he’ll perform similarly Another automatic out in the lineup
Charlie Goldsmith@CharlieG__

Francona on Trevino: He flew back this morning. He’ll he examined in the morning. It’s his mid back. It reared its head in spring training. He felt like he calmed it down, but it got to the point where he catches and he goes back to where he was. Hopefully he just misses… He’s eligible to return on the 15th

@ToddMcGeeWrites @WilliamELack It’s also not sustainable that this team will continue to face Skenes, Crochet and Alcantara in 27% of their starts, or that most of their hitters will continue to hit below expectations. The whole thing is a small sample size alert.

@edrichards714 @WilliamELack The team is doing well but it's not sustainable. Teams traditionally win 25-30 percent of games when they score 3 runs or less. The Reds are 5-3 in those games. Statistically speaking, we should be 2-6, which means we've got a huge correction coming. The offense has to improve.

With the Reds offense struggling this badly, can’t afford Hayes in the lineup every night, no matter how good his D. Still don’t understand that trade.

@balkwhisperer @ChanMan219 @bsmith810 @CBoxSports The problem with the rule, which I assume you are interpreting correctly, is that it makes instinctual footwork illegal. Asking a fielder to contort footwork when their eyes are properly on the ball will eventually cause some infielder injuries.

@shegone03 Torre was MVP in 1980 as a 30-yo 3rd baseman. He was the catcher in 41% of his starts, and never caught a game after age 29. Posey started ~800 fewer games than Torre but 227 more as catcher. Fairly comparable as hitters, but Torre played longer. WAR is a bit silly, though.

What I don’t understand is if WAR(Fake stat) is the measure stick for all things baseball wise, how is Buster Posey a 1st ballot HOF’er with a (45.0) WAR and Joe Torre a borderline HOF’er with a (57.6) WAR? On your mark, get set, go #nerds

@WilliamELack The worst trade in the current regime's history. We're stuck with a player with no trade value for 4 more years. The deal made no sense when we made it and even less now. Tito's insistence on sticking him out there every night is maddening. Put Lowe at 1B & move Stewart to 3B.

@dwills76 @WilliamELack Hit a liner to 2B last night at 104.5mph. Only Marte’s infield hit (106) was hit harder. It doesn’t take people long to forget how bad the 3B defense was over the past 8-10 years.

@WilliamELack I mean Hayes is making good contact, the balls have just been hit at someone. It’s better than watching him strike out every at bat. At least that gives you hope that at some point those outs will turn into hits.

@isusupafan @theaceofspaeder Yep. Managers are way too formulaic. As Herm Edwards would say, “You play to win the game.” Having watched Alcantara dominate over 95 pitches, why would anyone think Anthony Bender (wholly ineffective his last 2 games) was a better option? Reds fans (me) knew it was a bad move.

I guess I just don’t understand @MLB players anymore. After starting the 2026 MLB season 0 for 16 you finally get a hit that barely gets out and you act like this? I mean he’s (49) for (282) for a (.174) batting average since the @Rangers signed him for $37,000,000! Rumor has it that he’s worked with @Teacherman1986 and that would explain a lot! #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @iamrags @billdubs @low_and_outside @Riffraff3232 @hittingguru7

The Pirates are 6-3, and they have won five in a row, including a sweep at home. They've played solid ballclubs. So yes, they are good. The Reds are also 6-3, but they have a run differential of -4, and they have scored more than three runs in a game just twice, exactly two in three of their wins. So no, they should not be winning. I am not a dork, literally, at least.
