Left Glasgow at 3.45pm yesterday, arrived in London Euston at 6.50am this morning due to Avanti trains. Ended up waiting at Preston from 10.45pm until 3am where most people got taxis, but we were put back on an unmoving train until a sleeper went past. Missed my 7.25am flight!

@TheonlyBird Yeah we all got off at Preston, the taxi thing was insane, we waited outside for 2+ hours while they sorted taxis for everyone going north, even for later trains, but anyone for London/B'ham way just had to wait "we're hopeful of getting it sorted but no London taxis are ordered"

@edshakyhands Omg you were also caught up in this going the opposite direction down the country? Did they also just make everyone get off the train at Preston then?

Im going to miss my morning flight, been on trains since 3.45pm, and Avanti staff telling us that once EVERYONE ELSE is sorted "hopefully" they can sort us out London...why??

@AvantiWestCoast we've been at Preston trying to get to London since 10.45pm, been 2 hours and taxis to everywhere else have gone, we've been told to go keep warm on a train? Don't understand why all the people going Glasgow get to go home, when we can neither go not get a hotel
