Not bad, but if really serious, the author also would be pointing out that this is a really dumb time to go on indulging our eccentric foreign minister’s and rookie PM’s flirtation with estrangement from China. Even if they are too prejudiced and ignorant to want to return to the previous forty years of constructive relationship building with China under successive governments of all stripes, you would think they could understand that a bit of “brutal and amoral realpolitik” would be in order.
