Another Android Studio change I've been tracking is with Material Symbols. Google is preparing to fully remove deprecated Material Icons from Android Studio in favor of customizable Material Symbols picker :)

📢 The androidx.compose.material.icons library is no longer recommended for displaying Material Icons in Compose. We have stopped publishing updates to this library & it has been removed from the latest Material 3 release, you can still manually reference it if you cant migrate.

Is anybody working on function-based DI framework? Most (all?) frameworks are class-based and don't fit well with Compose (function-based). …and yes I know about compositionLocalOf. But it's not checked at compile-time and is generally just for singletons.

@alexstyl I used your composables.com/svg-to-compose converter to change the google icon svg to an imagevector. it turns out funky. here is the official svg "android_light_rd_na.svg" from the google-signin-assets.zip as the source. Ideas?

Unfortunately it looks like voyager is abandoned now, with +100 open issues, no new features, and no compatibility with the new Kotlin versions.

@ColtonIdle @hrachcz The Studio tooling to bulk import and convert SVG to drawables makes this easier, but it’d be nice to be able to directly browse Material Symbols like the site in IDE, and add to the project that way.

Material Icons were outdated. Material Symbols are the latest Google icons. You can find them all at composeicons.com (compose+svg versions available)
