@TimSweeneyEpic nit picking (i think) but all apks must be signed to be installed. so "installing unsigned software" isn't really a thing

idk. claude still struggles at find usages and stuff. meanwhile using AS is still miles ahead. i wish there was a way for claude to interact with AS directly or that more of that tooling was cli based. @csinco im assuming this means that i should just use gemini in AS with a different provider?

This is my feeling too. I know how much work has been put into making Android Studio great, and I really appreciate it. But my reality is that I don’t find the need to open it almost for anything anymore.
montano@lucas_montano

IDE like Android Studio is in real danger i don’t open it that much anymore after using claude CLI + neovim (if needed) even for profiling and benchmarking, i just fire up claude in the terminal + adb and it handles literally everything: perfetto traces, simpleperf, dumpsys

@hamen the big factor is "does anyone go in this codebase and do shit by hand"? if the answer is no. agentic is where its at. but if everyone isn't AI everything then its messy

Everything shifted when I stopped dreading the skeptics who said AI-assisted dev was a shortcut. I started using their doubt as fuel instead. Bless every developer who told me I was doing it wrong. 🔥

I've spent the last 12-months doing bootcamps, watching online courses, and reading books on how to write Java for Android development and it's finally here, the RevenueCat Android app! (I actually really like Eclipse, at least compared to Xcode) play.google.com/store/apps/det…

Today we’re introducing 1Password® Unified Access. As AI agents start operating inside real production environments, organizations need visibility into how credentials and access are actually used. Unified Access helps security teams discover, secure, and audit access across humans, machines, and AI agents. 🔗 More here: bit.ly/4dq2pjO

It always fascinates me how after all these years if you want to upload a new version to the play store the standard de facto is Fastlane, a tool born 10 years ago to do this exact thing for iOS apps.

@dshukertjr should i create a branch, or just a "staging" variant of my project?

If you haven't used Supabase branching yet, I want to recommend using it! It creates a staging environment for every GitHub PR you open, giving you a safe environment to test things out within the PR! When the PR is merged, the migration is applied automatically to prod!

We still hear from a lot of people who assume KMP is only for sharing logic. With Compose Multiplatform though, you can also have shared cross-platform UI, with 100% of your code in Kotlin! If you're looking to pick up CMP, join our KotlinConf workshop: kotlinconf.com/workshops/

@dshukertjr hey tyler. im a long time user of supabase (for my mobile apps). im now (finally) trying to actually keep track of my db schema locally and deploy locally. what can i do if i already had a project built out on supabase but didn't generate the schema locally? can i do something on cli like supabase export project or something so i can take all of my supabase code and store it in a github repo?
