RE: ALLEGATIONS BY DISMISSED EX-LANCE CORPORAL ROTIMI OLAMILEKAN
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a sensationalised report circulating on social media and mainstream news platforms featuring an interview with a dismissed soldier, Ex-18NA/77/1009 Lance Corporal Rotimi Olamilekan, popularly known as “Soja Boi.” In the interview, he made allegations regarding welfare, remuneration and the provision of uniforms and protective equipment for Nigerian Army personnel. While the Nigerian Army remains focused on its core mandate of safeguarding the nation, it has become necessary to correct these falsehoods to prevent the public from being misled.
The Nigerian Army categorically states that Mr. Olamilekan was not dismissed for “speaking the truth” or expressing opinions on political leadership. He was dismissed following persistent and grave acts of indiscipline, including violations of the Armed Forces Social Media Policy. Like all professional militaries, the Nigerian Army operates under a strict Code of Conduct and the Armed Forces Act. Unauthorised media appearances, commercialisation of military identity, partisan content creation and misuse of military uniform constitute clear breaches of established regulations. His dismissal followed due process in line with military laws.
On the issue of remuneration, the Nigerian Army operates a well-structured and transparent salary system, where earnings are determined by rank and years of service, as clearly stipulated in the Manual of Financial Administration for Armed Forces of Nigeria (MAFA). In addition to consolidated monthly salaries, personnel are entitled to uniform allowances and other allowances, which are periodically paid directly into their accounts.
Furthermore, troops deployed on operations or assigned to duties outside their units receive Ration Cash Allowance, Habit Allowance, in addition to free feeding arrangements. Personnel serving in operational theatres, such as Operation HADIN KAI in the North East, are also paid operational allowances and other mission-specific entitlements designed to support their welfare and enhance operational effectiveness. The portrayal of soldiers as receiving no additional benefits beyond basic salary is therefore misleading and inaccurate.
The claim that soldiers are required to purchase uniforms and protective equipment, including bulletproof vests and helmets, is entirely false. The Nigerian Army prioritises the welfare, safety, and force protection of its personnel. The provision of uniforms, kits, arms, ammunition, and operational gear is an institutional responsibility executed through established logistics systems. Dedicated ordnance units oversee the procurement, storage, and issuance of these items to ensure troops are adequately equipped for operations. While some personnel may choose to supplement issued kits based on personal preference and comfort, such actions are voluntary and do not indicate any systemic failure. The assertion that troops operate without protective gear is not only false but also reckless, as it undermines public confidence and troop morale.
For the avoidance of doubt, no soldier is deployed to an operational theatre without the necessary protective equipment. Claims that such gear is only issued during ceremonial visits are deliberate falsehoods intended to mislead the public. The Nigerian Army remains committed to the highest standards of discipline, accountability, and troop welfare. Operational decisions regarding postings and deployments are guided strictly by strategic and operational requirements.

How can you so confidently deceive yourself publicly?
How much did all the previous presidents borrow all joined and how much did Tinubu borrowed?
Remember Buhari use more than 50% of our daily crude for collateral?

@aonanuga1956 @ruffydfire Bayo! You guys are not even ashamed of your stupidity again

Rufai, your post illustrates the danger of reading the headline and not the text. The figures are similar, but the headlines capture two different contexts. By running away only with the headlines to form your conclusion, you have ended up misleading your followers and the general public and of course, generating many clicks, your original intention.. Now read what Minister Adelabu said two years ago and compare with the latest statement from the Presidency: 👇 icirnigeria.org/tinubu-approve…

Oh, bless your brilliant minds, you were always suspected of being stupid, but congratulations, you've just confirmed it with flying colours.
What direct impact will this vanity airport have on the average Ogun citizen? What economic magic does it offer when Lagos and Oyo already boast functional commercial airports?
Do share the project overview and full cost breakdown. While you're at it, show us the tarmac, reception and waiting area, if they actually exist, of course.
Sycophancy truly is a gift; it finishes off whatever rotten scraps were left in the brain.
Over 70% of Ogun roads are death traps, healthcare is nonexistent, yet this needless mushroom project is suddenly priority one. Is anything still functioning upstairs?
You stroll in, spew the sewage fermenting in your mouths and expect rational people to applaud. How precious.

Bola Tinubu's administration (since May 2023) shows mixed results on global benchmarks as of early 2026:
- **HDI**: 0.560 (rank 164/193, UNDP 2025 HDR) – slight uptick but low.
- **Corruption (CPI)**: 26/100 (rank ~140/180, TI 2024) – marginal gain from 2023.
- **Poverty**: Rose sharply to ~61% (~139M people, World Bank 2025) from ~40% pre-2023.
- **Electricity**: Access ~61% (up slightly); generation + to 40 TWh but unreliable for many.
- **Out-of-school children**: 18-20M (UNICEF/UNESCO) – world's highest, stagnant.
- **Life expectancy**: ~54.5 years (World Bank 2023 data, lowest globally).
- **Exchange rate**: Naira devalued ~3x (from ~460 to ~1,380 NGN/USD).
- **Subsidy removal**: Spiked inflation/cost of living; hit low-income hardest short-term but cut fiscal drain.
- **Approval**: Polls 30-50% (NOI/others 2025).
- **Rule of law**: 120/143 (WJP 2025) – weak on security (142/143).
Wasteful spending/financial rascality: Criticisms include high executive travel/jet costs and budget inefficiencies (per local audits/reports). Social injustice/intimidation: Reports note protests crackdowns and opposition scrutiny; public trust low per surveys. Sincerity: Reforms (e.g., forex unification) signal intent, but execution gaps persist amid hardship. Data from UNDP, WB, TI, WJP – trends predate but accelerated post-2023.
