@tparsi @QuincyInst @munkdebate Walt and Mearsheimer should have been asked to debate another academic. They debated two people who don’t debate. I’d love you host me debating Mearsheimer.

I don't see it as gatekeeping to hold these opinions. Especially the opinion that the US is deranged on its own without the Israel lobby making it deranged. Israel is becoming the scapegoat for many who think the US would be a force for absolute good if only it wasn't for Israel, which is delusional.

@KuKhahil CJ perfect fit. Savy vet who can handle and score. Showed has a lot left in tank. Would be ideal next to Cade and push Duncan to bench, or on second unit as primary option. Trade market to expensive.

I’ve looked through the FA’s and I don’t really see any I like that much for DET that offer something more than Duncan or Tobias did this season overall. Pistons improvement will have to be a trade, I think, and those are much harder to predict or guess who’d they even want

And what makes it even harder to try and predict, or to even discuss who they can go after is we have no idea what they’re doing it with Jalen Duren—which is going to have a huge swing on what direction or type of player they’ll be looking at in trade market

First, What is the narrative this person is advancing? Are they advancing an accurate narrative of why the US was there and what their role was? No. This is a person who chose to side with the devil and moved to the US and is now doing the bidding of the US by rewriting history and pretending to be a victim when they were mercenaries for the aggressor. They still frame what they were doing as "democracy." Second, this person is not a captive, they are running for office in the US and using their revisionist history story of absolution to get votes. It's nauseating. Yes, there are people who become victims of Phoenix program. Their stories do not sound like this, if they survive. They would never call what the US was doing fighting for "democracy" or spreading their narrative about the Vietnamese government. They would never move here and participate in US Imperial politics. To compare this US collaborator spreading US narrative lies to a person in an occupied country literally surrounded by the CIA, who's family was killed by CIA in the middle of a hostile takeover of a government we know was functioning independently to the degree that it was targeted for takedown is wildly off base and a completely different equation. She is not a hostage - Delcy and Maduro are. And we know what the CIA strategy is to undermine their government. There is no comparison to be made here.

@RogueKite Honest question. If the CIA was involved in their recruitment, did the hmong people really have a choice? Just like u are currently defending delcy in Venezuela because of cia involvement, couldn't the same hold true in this situation?

What does it usually mean when someone ends up in the US after the CIA enters their country, and buys off their people to become a mercenary army against other countries? That's how you can explain this disturbing as hell answer. A little narrative clarification: They aren't the victim if their family was collaborating with the CIA trying to destroy the country of Vietnam because the people wanted economic independence - they're the bad guy. They weren't fighting for democracy - the vast majority of the people in Vietnam wanted communism - they were fighting for the Imperialists causing a genocide to maintain their control. The Vietnamese weren't trying to "genocide" your people - they chose to fight for a criminal Empire in an illegal genocidal war of aggression on Viet Nam waged by the US. Hope it helps 👍

Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang, who is running for Congress in California’s 7th District, spoke with Ryan Grim about how her family’s history as Hmong refugees shaped her politics. Vang said her parents fled Laos after the CIA recruited Hmong communities to fight during the Vietnam War, leaving many families displaced and targeted after the U.S. withdrawal. Vang connected that history of war, displacement, and poverty to her campaign platform, including opposition to U.S. weapons funding for Israel, support for BDS, for abolishing ICE, and a broader challenge to corporate-funded politics. @MaiForUs | @ryangrim

@kleptocurrency1 @RogueKite But u don't know that at all. Nor do I or anyone. But when we look at what we know about the cia/usa and its history in these interventions, one can easily surmise that whatever delcy is or is not doing, there is a loaded gun pointed at her head..

The way Saab as hero is being weaponized while this type of headline also emerges to me is making it crystal clear exactly why the Trump Administration chose to take this action. Again, Delcy isn't in charge, the CIA is, so let's approach it from a realistic lens considering this fact. It would not surprise me in the slightest if the guy connected to helping Venezuela get around sanctions was connected in some way to the US Intel agencies. I can see exactly why they would want that relationship. If you are going to force someone into black markets you want to know what's coming and going. They would absolutely benefit from controlling or being connected to people who were involved in those flows. They might even send the person in to do it themselves. US business people constantly collaborate with orgs like the CIA. That's how they operate abroad. This would completely fit.  US CIA compatible media are talking about how he was tortured in 2023 by the US... that might have been when they broke him and got him to start giving the agencies information. Or maybe this story isn't real and it was planted to make him seem more reliable to the Venezuelan government. Both of those would be totally plausible options.  I can also see why they would burn him now when they control the government and use it for a stunt like this to undermine Delcy because they don't need his role anymore since they have taken over commodities flows and lifted sanctions.  To me, them releasing this information is not contradictory. The goal of the Trump regime is to weaken any confidence in Delcy with Maduro gone so they can take disillusion everyone there and make them more willing to accept whoever they replace the government with - which was always their plan. We know this because they have explicitly said it in US papers multiple times.  Now they've got their whole little online influence operation screaming about this. They've got Maduro up for more charges so you know they're not going to release him. They just want the entire country of Venezuela to give up hope and turn on their leaders. Even though they're leaders actually have no power. They explicitly kept them in place to kill the idea and trust. At the end of the day this rich businessman is just a pawn in that game. The hysterics from the Trump-aligned faux-left and fake anti-Imperialist crowd is totally expected as well. It completely helps the CIA and Trump achieve his objectives. Remember, the CIA is controlling every angle of this. These are not Delcy's choices. Anyone advancing the narrative that they are is actually just doing the bidding of the CIA and Trump admin. We are going to see a lot of that based on the plan they've laid out. People also might want to ask themselves why so many CIA-compatible (and some I think straight CIA) left seem to be tied to this rich businessman who was smuggling things in and out of the country and the government - not Delcy - is saying had ties to US agencies...  because that's actually kind of telling in and of itself that they were connected with so many US media in the first place 🙃 Probably not a great sign.

So many early season thought pieces bout the Tigers and I’m not seeing anyone ask “what if this team just doesn’t have enough talent to win games?” Like, what if Tork, Perez, Vierling, Short, Lee and Jones just don’t belong in a major league lineup?

@confusion_reign yes its a tricky situation at times. I guess im old school & i want players who basically play 1 position well or at least competently & guys who can hit no matter who the pitcher is! Late inning pinch hitters? Sure no problem. we have too many guys who cant play even 1 position
