@BobPagesports @nypostsports What a compliment! Reminds me of what Stan Mikita once said. "The three best teams in the NHL are Montreal, Toronto and Gordie Howe."

One of THE best things ever written about me? When Kenny Rogers signed with the Yankees in '95 @nypostsports baseball writer Joel Sherman was worried about Rogers & NYC, said in @nypostsports, "He's coming to a town with 4 major dailies, 2 all-sports radio stations and Bob Page."

My latest. Twenty years after the Gambler, JV is now the grizzled pitching mentor. #Tigers @IffyTheDopester @BobPagesports @papatigermike @cardio64 @NickMilanovich @ChrisCasquejo @ChrisDPOMAY @TBonesPrimeCuts @KalineCountry @KenKalDRW gregeno.substack.com/p/at-43-jv-is-…

My first autograph on a piece of paper was Bob Cousy of the Boston Celtics in 1958. I would meet Dad at the restaurant in the Boston Garden and go up to his company on a floor of the building next to it. The Celtics were on another floor. Later, I got Sam Jones and John Havlicek.

I really liked the ring of honor idea for the Red Wings. Seemingly a no brainer for the Tigers, Pistons, and Wings. Only the supposedly tone deaf Lions have one. Still unbelievable that the Tigers do not have a team hall of fame. The exemplary example is Cincinnada's. @GregEno
