Thrilled to share our new letter in Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology on cerebellar hemorrhages in fetuses requiring intrauterine transfusion (IUT) for parvovirus B19 infection. 🩺 This rare condition can lead to severe fetal anemia, and our case series at Mater Centre for Maternal and Fetal Medicine (Brisbane, 2008–2024) found intracranial hemorrhage in 18.8% of cases post-IUT, often affecting the cerebellum. Huge congrats to Jesrine Hong and the team for this vital work! 🙌 Accumulating these cases over years highlights the need for careful follow-up While IUT is effective, these findings underscore the importance of vigilance.
