Ландо Норрис — крайне редкий в современном мире случай, когда «nice guy» побеждает, оставляя позади амбициозных assholes.
Причем он сделал это в самой звериной серии кольцевых гонок, где в каждом повороте разогретый до 60 градусов болид создает перегрузку 4-5g и пытается вырвать с корнем шею пилота. И где в конце каждой прямой нужно выжимать педаль с усилием в центнер, чтобы не влететь в заграждение или отбойник из покрышек на скорости набирающего высоту реактивного самолета.
В мире, где онлайн-коучи и суровые эксперты непрерывно твердят, что «доброта — это слабость», а «хорошие парни всегда проигрывают», особенно ценно, что главную, "королевскую" серию выиграл чувак, который никогда не боялся быть живым и сомневающимся, и открыто говорить о собственных страхах и уязвимостях.
Во многих аспектах этот титул Ландо ценнее, чем четыре титула гениального Макса.
P.S. Кто первым напишет про Monza Swap — тот бесчувственная кочерыжка.

Look, I’m of the opinion he shouldn’t be playing the Women’s Main Event satellites.
But if the accepted rule is when a man wins it’s worth 10% of buy-in, and this albiexchewy guy goes on to win ten of these granting him a full entry, I will have no choice but to applaud his ingenuity.

@max_silver similar story and it's sad that people are making their children pay the price for their ignorance/feeling of superiority over doctors which is absurd to start with.
i wish i would get help (in Russia at the time there were no diagnosis like ADHD) and not feel like i'm failing

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, had that ignored/untreated and only found out when I was rediagnosed age 32
The needless suffering I endured was profound and affected me in so many different aspects of my life and belief systems

I had a child “diagnosed” with ADHD several years ago. The immediate reaction of the people involved was to prescribe drugs. We refused. Absolutely under no circumstances were we going to let our pre-pubescent child take amphetamines which is what these ADHD drugs are. More generally, I found the diagnosis process shoddy, the availability of resources for my child (tutors, executive function help etc) to be scattered and expensive and the desire of the school to “solve” the problem lazy and reductive (sit alone, go take tests in a separate place, have more time on assignments and feel isolated from peers). It can’t be the case that so many of our kids have ADHD and are then put through this. I find it more plausible that economic incentives drove an entire industry to spring up around an FDA approved drug that, looking back, mostly doesn’t work. People make money diagnosing it, tutoring around it, coaching around it, etc etc This has done decades of damage to kids. @abarone68 streams are fine so far, but vods/poker videos (highlights, coaching videos) are being banned in a matter of seconds last 2 days
