The trunks of the trees are huge, I wonder how long this pair of magnificent trees have stood looking over the village... 😔

Sad to see that some of the huge conifers in my Somerset village are being cut down. 😔 These were used as roost sites for Stock Doves, and shelter for many birds. Also popular with Coal Tits & Goldcrests. Whether they needed to come down or not, it still saddens me.. 😔
