I've just had a commission to produce 20 images of B747s for a new book on teh subject - no mater how I try I just find them dull .. although the Airline name is slightly amusing ,,,

@BlickyIan what i dont understand/know is why they didnt work on the benefit of a longer propellant burn..... surely a slower powder burn mix, plus more of it, meant a higher effective range?

1964-65- Leaving school you had a few choices, work in a factory, become a plumber or fly one of these. In that era you could be on a front line unit in around 2- 2.5 years. And the best bit you got to fly a Mach2.0+ fighter in a pair of super trendy Clarkes Desert Boots

How to use the 1 in 60 rule: 1. Set a measurable goal 2. Create a process to achieve it 3. See obstacles before they happen 4. Forget about the goal 5. Track & adjust course if needed Bonus - Choose the right destination

@rhys_parker That’s a nice breeze… the highest I ever saw was 204kt, all crosswind, between Greenland and Baffin Island.

This is a thread of new / slang words, from different languages, that were coined for the modern world. I’ll start with this one… Egérmozi (Hungarian) = watching films or shows on a phone (literally ‘mouse cinema’)

@johnsweeneyroar John, jetliners do not come in to land at 500mph! More like 130… But they do cruise at 500mph
