Introducing Electric Agents! Agents are not compute. Agents are data. Multi-agent is a sync problem. Electric Agents is the first agent platform built on sync. Use it to build scalable, collaborative, long-lived multi-agent systems: 🧵👇

i think this stack has won the localfirst battle btw. maybe more chapters to this story but i think this is it if you are building fast apps fast

Excited to release a new starter! Sync-first, production-ready, and blazing fast - @tan_stack Start - @tan_stack DB for blazing fast client-side queries & optimistic mutations - @ElectricSQL for real-time sync from PG - @better_auth - @DrizzleORM - @tailwindcss - Hono OpenAPI

Just open-sourced Ursula: an HTTP event streams server. Built on @ElectricSQL's Durable Streams Protocol, Ursula keeps a combo we have not seen elsewhere: { Apache 2.0, quorum-replicated, sub-50ms p99, S3 economics }. github.com/tonbo-io/ursula

Agent context needs stored somewhere hence logs and databases Online agents that react to systems and each other need reactive contect hence sync

"Why multi-agent systems win ... beyond coding, this is where agentic systems are going."
Inception@_inception_ai

@augmentcode rebuilt their context compaction layer around Mercury 2. 82% latency cut. 90% cost cut. Comparable quality to Opus 4.7. Running in production today. "We took a counter-intuitive bet. We decoupled summarization entirely, offloading it to Mercury 2 as a dedicated subagent. Mercury 2 is the highly efficient engine powering our most critical workflows." -@RustagiAnkur & @jm1234567890, Members of Technical Staff at Augment Code The subagent layer needs the most efficient model. Full methodology and eval setup in the writeup. inceptionlabs.ai/blog/rise-of-r…

In the next version of Electric Agents: You can directly run agents from the CLI or from a TS API electric agents run <type> [id] [message] e.g. in CI when a new issue is created — `electric agents run horton "triage this issue"`

In the next version of Electric Agents: You'll be able to run local nodes that sync agent sessions to any device/user. - start session on your laptop and continue on your phone - share a session with a colleague or anyone with access to the URL

> The future of AI-assisted software engineering will be multi-agent. > The system will learn to delegate across specialized agents and subagents. The ability to orchestrate that kind of coordination is going to be critical going forward.

Our agent harness makes models inside Cursor faster, smarter, and more token-efficient. Here's how we test improvements to the harness, monitor and repair degradations, and customize it for different models. cursor.com/blog/continual…

I've spend some time with the Electric Agent docs and I think they've gotten a few fundamental things correct. Agents are better thought of as storage, not compute. They should be architecturally de-coupled from infra. So far, that's Anthropic's Managed Agents. But there are two improvements here: 1) Agent state should be a sync engine. 2) You *really* don't want to be vendor locked when it comes to agent orchestration. I'm tire-kicking this one.

To build agentic systems, you need to: - spawn agents & subagents - observe them - create topologies of them - fork them - scale to zero & resume again later This doesn't fit the old models of compute. It needs something new, that's what Electric Agents is. 🔗🧵
