@GergelyOrosz Not sure what development methodology twitter uses internally, but if they use strict agile I hope they get rid of it ASAP and other companies follow suit

@GergelyOrosz I’ve seen the scenarios too often where microservices end up actually becoming nanoservices. I think a lot of orgs have gone overboard of making everything a microservice, it quickly gets hard to manage and maintain so many apps

@GergelyOrosz Also believe software architecture should be a collaborative process between all engineers with the lead taking the helm. Especially if it effects other teams. Maybe a google doc like process

@GergelyOrosz I see a lot of possibilities for improvement for the software architecture process imo. A lot of times I see these overcomplicated diagrams that one person came up with and just gave the engineers to build. A lot of times engineers have to make adjustments to them

Incredible how some “traditional” companies operate. A well-known bank in a country has a Tech team and an Architecture team. Architecture does not report to - or is related - to Tech. They make all the Tech architecture decisions. The Architects don’t even come from Tech.

@pmarca Hmmm puts more pressure on ETH to hurry up the transition to proof of stake. Wonder how long they can delay before another proof of stake coin dethrones it

@Jason I understand the role of smartphones lifting people out of poverty, but how did Amazon? I thought Amazon's global market share was pretty slim, unless you're talking about AWS

the iPhone & Amazon probably lifted more folks out of poverty than any other explicit effort… (and as a second order effect of globalization and wages increasing in Asia)
