The wedding was purely graced by two giants in prophetic history. Taona and Poneso were truly spiritually blessed yesterday with the mercy and love of Almighty God; they will never lack anything in their lives.

Hakuna Muchato wakadai More Than US$20 Million in Gifts Showered on Tagwirei Newlyweds More than US$20 million worth of gifts was unveiled at the wedding of Taonanyasha John Tagwirei and Poneso Tinomuda Janda as Zimbabwe’s business elite splashed staggering amounts of cash, luxury assets, cattle and high-end machinery on the newlyweds. Businessman Sternly Kondongwe gifted the couple US$100,000, while Koala also added another US$100,000 to the growing pile of extravagant presents. AgriFora’s Manungo made one of the night’s biggest contributions with a US$300,000 gift, while Makomo Resources chipped in with US$50,000. Presidential investment adviser Paul Tungwarara gifted the couple US$300,000, while Youth Minister Tino Machakaire presented them with a Defender Octa — one of only 30 in the world — valued at around US$470,000. Businessman Wesley Chingwena added a 140-horsepower tractor to the extravagant list of gifts as the wedding continued to showcase staggering levels of wealth, influence and luxury. Dr Kudakwashe Tagwirei and wife Sandra stunned guests after gifting the couple US$2.5 million and 33 hectares of prime Umwinsidale land believed to be worth around US$15 million. Businessman Wicknell Chivayo added US$250,000 and a luxury designer bag, while gold dealer Scott Sakupwanya gifted the couple US$500,000. Obey Chimuka and wife contributed US$275,000, while G6 gifted US$100,000. Top government official George Guvamatanga and his wife also made a grand gesture, gifting the couple 25 pregnant pedigree Beefmaster heifers from their award-winning farming operations, along with US$250,000. Gospel musician Everton Mlalazi gifted the couple US$150,000.

I have a question 🤔 I sometimes wonder whether those around President @edmnangagwa are too afraid to tell him the truth… or whether they simply do not want to risk their positions and privileges. Because while ordinary Zimbabweans battle abject poverty, unemployment, collapsing public services, suffering, and growing hopelessness, those closest to power seem more focused on protecting their seats and chanting: “Shumba murabwi! Munhumutapa!” But a country suffers when truth is sacrificed for access, and when loyalty to power becomes more important than loyalty to the people. What happened to gutsa ruzhinji and not just a few individuals? Right now, Zimbabwe does not need praise singers around leadership. It needs courageous people willing to speak honestly about the pain on the ground, the anger in communities, and the daily struggles citizens face. Silence in the face of suffering is not loyalty to the nation folks, it is betrayal of the people. Use your positions and proximity wisely!

It is embarrassing for Zimbabwe’s Foreign Minister, Dr Amon Murwira, to deny that there is an immigration crisis in Southern Africa and in South Africa. This is why I have said to the African National Congress that it created this monster and continues to nurture it when it defends the failed governance in Zimbabwe by ZANUPF. The foreign minister said this on Friday in South Africa at the Southern African Development Community foreign ministers’ meeting. You cannot be a Zimbabwean cabinet minister and deny that there is an immigration crisis when more than 50% of women giving birth at Musina Hospital in Limpopo are from your country, Zimbabwe. It is irresponsible leadership, which shows that you have no intention of fixing the root causes of this perennial crisis caused by corrupt rule, rigging of elections and failed policies. There is an immigration crisis, and one only has to look at the numbers of Zimbabweans going into South Africa versus the number of South Africans going into Zimbabwe to live. That is how net migration is defined. The minister, who was a university professor, knows this. He is just choosing to be arrogant and obtuse about it. But this should be yet another wake-up call to the ANC that they are defending a system that is now creating problems for themselves. Why? Because the ANC gets kickbacks from ZANUPF. Southern Africa needs a South Africa led by men and women who have spine, are incorruptible, and are ready to do what leaders are supposed to do. As for Dr Amon Murwira, a government that creates policies which force millions of its citizens to leave the country can never pretend that there is no immigration crisis. There is no longer just an immigration crisis, there is also a leadership crisis in both countries, one that has allowed immigration to become the central political issue in South Africa instead of economic transformation, job creation and prosperity. The main threat facing Southern Africa now is the immigration crisis authored in Harare and Maputo, and sadly the authors are defended at every turn by the African National Congress using the nostalgia of battles won 32 years ago in South Africa, 46 years ago in Harare and 51 years ago in Maputo. The immigration crisis is being driven by bad governance in Harare and Maputo. That is why there are no major immigration tensions involving Botswana or Namibia. People vote with their feet, and when millions leave their countries in search of survival, dignity and opportunity elsewhere, it is an indictment of the governments they are fleeing from.
