Last week, we hosted our Business Advisory Council at City Hall for another semi-regular meeting to discuss the needs and goals of our region’s business community, but this time, we invited a few new young Edmontonians who brought very important and fresh perspectives to the table.
We discussed much of the good work being done at the @CityofEdmonton, and with partners such as the impact of Business Friendly Edmonton, our various grant programs, the Place Brand Strategy, resources like why.edmonton.ca and innovative City initiatives like Capital City Pilots. We also talked about promoting Edmonton's place brand, increasing accessibility to grant programs, supporting the arts, championing innovation, and building the business community in #YEG.
Youth are our current and future city builders. Their perspectives are key to helping us build an exciting, attractive and industrious Edmonton for all of us.
Thank you to @ExploreEdmonton for attending, and to our youth guests: Tiger of nimihitotan, Jean Bruce of @Elevhomes, Riwo of @melafrique_, @JaanekGrewal of Mint Health + Drugs, Priscilla of @UAlberta Black Students Association, Abbas of @futurefieldsHQ, Vaishnavi of @NorQuest Alumni Advisory Committee, @SimranKDhillon1 of @FentaGone, Genevieve of @PolykarInc and Corey of @ReWaste_ca for joining us!
