@NickP1963 The sex differentials are really interesting. Are young men less likely to get tested?

Nice to see pyramid used for #coronavirus cases. It shows clearly the higher concentration of cases among young adults and, less so, in the 45-64 age range.

@mountaintina This feels like death by a thousand cuts. A complete shut down is coming let's just get it over and done with. Once its contained within the country then we can at least resume domestic consumption.

@elinched This is confusing me as well, particularly as our borders are now closed. It seems to be motivated by preserving our economic position but the horse has already bolted. With an economic meltdown unavoidable why not Plan A?

Why are we giving up on eradication in favour of flattening the curve? Surely being an island is a massive strategic advantage.

I have serious concerns about e0 in indigenous communities as well as in places like Syria. Younger age structures will help, but will not make up for under resourced health systems. We have a duty to protect vulnerable populations.
