It was such a full-circle moment for me getting to welcome the outstanding 2025-2026 National FFA Officer Team right here @USDA. I loved walking them through the building and showing them my own office. It feels like not too long ago I was standing in their shoes, blue corduroy jacket and all, dreaming about what the future of American agriculture could look like. Their passion, poise, and fresh ideas left me completely inspired and reminded me why investing in the next generation matters so much. As a proud former FFA member, I’m beyond grateful to now be in a position to open doors for students who are ready to lead. American agriculture is in great hands!💙💛

The 25th anniversary of Cinco De Mayo celebrations in the City of Delavan kicked off yesterday. I enjoyed the festivities with friends and even ran into a former high school classmate who has started their own small business. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the festival!

We had a wonderful evening of fellowship with friends at the Delavan Christian School 75th anniversary dinner. It was great to see so many people celebrating and supporting this incredible school!

The Prairie and Arboretum line is a one-mile walking trail loop which is a great place for families to get outdoors and spend time together! The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, and the second best time is today. I’m glad Kenosha County is thinking of the future!

Yesterday was a beautiful day to join Extension Kenosha County at their Arbor Day Celebration! They planted a number of trees to help revitalize the Kenosha County Center Prairie and Arboretum.

Thank you to the East Troy Area Chamber of Commerce for putting together such a fun evening last night! I had a great time with community and business leaders from across Walworth County and even enjoyed a ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad!

The Sharon Fire and Rescue hosted an incredible breakfast this morning at the fire house. I enjoyed talking with residents about the issues they are facing and hearing from our first responders. We are so grateful for those who serve our community and keep us safe!
