@paulgrantgib Absolutely. This is an affront to democracy and our constitution. If any of the Ministers had any decency they would vote down the Bill at the 3rd reading. Anything less, they and the Governor should hang their collective heads in shame.

@KaelanJoyce @gibsewage Thank you Kaelan we had fun despite the serious nature of the issue. My nephew took me out on the boat a couple of weeks ago, the wind changed and I must say I was literally covered in it. This must now get done as soon as possible because it doesn’t just “float away”

Around schools we need STRICT No Idling, the smallest lungs are the ones breathing in the heaviest particles.
Mums with prams/kids outside school with prams/kids at exhaust level. Id be the 1st to get behind that! Min.Transport and Min.P. Health need to get together to do this.

@KaelanJoyce @votegsd If our laws make provision for confiscation and that power is exercisable by law enforcement agencies then there should be confiscation when the circumstances arise. If the law does not make provision then we should at least review the position.

Hi @elliottphillips, can you clarify what is meant by workable and unimpeachable pls? The issue here are not the laws but rather enforcement of them. Vessels were fit for purpose until v recently, this has been happening for decades. Will the @votegsd commit to confiscating nets?

@KaelanJoyce @votegsd @keith_azopardi I think I have been clear but for the avoidance of any doubt. Enforcement has is the remit of the law enforcement agencies. Our job is to ensure that our laws are workable unimpeachable and applied evenly applied to all.

@KaelanJoyce @votegsd Any law that we have intro must be effective and should withstand challenge. Parliament should make laws which do what they say on the tin and provide clear and unambiguous language so that those that enforce the law have clarity.

@KaelanJoyce @GibMarine @RGPolice @votegsd No that is incorrect. The assets are unfit and outdated. The manufacturers do not replace these particular engines. The GSD cannot arrest anyone it is not within their gift but what we can do in Government is make sure that our agencies are enforcing the law

Vessels have been fit for purpose until v recently that is not really the problem. The issue Gibraltar has is that no Gov will allow @GibMarine to confiscate nets nor the @RGPolice to make an arrest. Will the @votegsd commit to this?

It would be good to understand if @votegsd @keith_azopardi @elliottphillips will commit to actually arresting a Foreign Commercial Vessel breaking our laws. Both arresting & confiscating nets\vessels like they do everywhere else in the world.
I keep asking, never get a response..

@elliottphillips @cortes_john @GibMarine @RGPolice @NautilusGib thanks for the response Elliott, but I think it's not just lack of assets but rather them simply not wanting to antagonise Spain at the expense of our Marine Environment. We always have an excuse not to do anything & nothing will change until nets\vessels are confiscated.
