When it comes to matters of faith, the strongest message is not mockery, but example. If you believe in your religion, live it, share its beauty, its values, its kindness. Talk about what it has done for you, what it teaches about love, patience, forgiveness, and purpose. That’s how hearts are truly moved. Because when people see light in what you believe, they can be drawn to it naturally—without pressure, without insults, and without tearing others down. Whether Muslim or Christian, our faith should be represented with dignity. We don’t strengthen our truth by attacking another person’s belief; we strengthen it by showing the best version of it. Let your words invite, not divide.

These “wanted” posters they make and publicize only aim to do one thing. A humiliation ritual. A reminder to the person on the poster that they are not untouchable by their benefactors. Nothing to do with seeking justice. It’s all a show.

People think whenever I speak about insecurity, I’m being one sided because they only hear the parts that challenge their bias. What many of you don’t know is that I actually worked in Katsina on a conflict mitigation program, traveling across dangerous conflict zones to conduct trainings and dialogue sessions for both Fulani herders and Hausa farmers. I have been to places like Dan Musa, Jibia, Kankara, Ketare, Batsari, and Wagini, areas many people only know from headlines about bandit attacks, kidnappings, and violence. Yet we still entered these communities because peace building cannot happen from social media debates alone. I have sat with families who lost loved ones. I have listened to farmers afraid to return to their lands, and herders afraid of revenge attacks and cattle rustling. When you hear pain from both sides face to face, you stop seeing insecurity as a tribal competition and start seeing it as a human tragedy. So when I speak against killings, banditry, or injustice, it is not because I’m one sided. It is because I have seen firsthand what insecurity does to ordinary people, regardless of tribe or religion. Nigeria will never heal if every conversation about insecurity becomes “protect our side” instead of protecting innocent lives.

This is how you know what an administration prioritises. For a country of over 200million people. It's up to us to decide what kind of people we want in government. But we can't afford a government that can't fund healthcare and other critical sectors.

A free press remains essential to both democracy and development.📌 We're sharing reflections from CJID staff across the region on what press freedom means, why it matters, and what's at stake when the press is constrained. #PressFreedom

This is crazy! When an employer brings up “husbands complaining” in an interview, they are not assessing your capability anymore. They are projecting assumptions about your personal life onto your career. That crosses into BIAS, and should fall under discrimination linked to sex or marital status in how decisions are made.
Tarelayefa@Sugar_Pops_

If anybody tells you that marriage can not hinder your career trajectory as a woman, I want you to know that I woke up to an official rejection mail this morning and while I already knew they wouldn’t take me, it doesn’t hurt any less. The role required a flexible schedule and I really really wanted it but during the interview process, they made a comment about husbands complaining about their wives working late and I just knew.

Since coming on board as governor, Peter Mbah has constantly maintained that his administration will continue to prioritise the welfare and education of children in the state to give them a decent future. His budgetary allocations to the sector have shown this.
