Sully Erna has confirmed that new GODSMACK music is on the way, but made it clear it won’t include the band’s classic lineup.
Speaking on Trunk Nation, Erna said: “There’s probably gonna be some new music coming… but it just won’t be with all the original members anymore.”
He explained that Tony Rombola and Shannon Larkin have stepped away from touring, adding: “They just didn’t wanna tour at this level anymore… We gave each other a big hug and wished them the best.”
Erna says the band now includes guitarist Sam Koltun and drummer Wade Murff, noting: “They honored the catalog, they honored the playing. They didn't try to reinvent it. This band sounds better than ever.”
GODSMACK will continue touring and expects new material to arrive in early 2027.

@em_dee_10 I actually enjoy Love and Thunder, but where it fails is the balance in tone.
Their last 3 films have underperformed, so the success is not locked in as it once was. Although, it's hard to imagine Spider-Man and Avengers films not making a billion $.

And this is gonna sound like hyperbole, but what Marvel did. Releasing 23 films over 11 years and maintaining the quality to that level is nothing short of a miracle.
It is Bealtes-esque in terms of quantity of output, quality, and global impact. The fact that it ever happened is a miracle and it’s hard to imagine it ever being replicated.
Every single film of the 23 matters to and connects to one story. Every single major (good guy) character is featured in Infinity War/Endgame and directly connects to it. And none of it feels forced.
Frankly, the expectation that it could stay at that level is not realistic. And they’ve had so many obstacles in the Multiverse Saga - Covid, Writers and Actors strike, Chadwick Boseman dying, Jonathan Majors prosecution, and frankly making the mistake of over expanding on Disney +, and superhero fatigue as well as a shrinking of the theater market overall.

I finally finished my MCU Infinity Saga rewatch. Here’s my top 10 ranking: 1. Avengers: Infinity War 2. Avengers: Endgame 3. Iron Man 4. Captain America: Civil War 5. Thor: Ragnarok 6. Captain America: Winter Soldier 7. Avengers: Age of Ultron 8. Guardians of the Galaxy 9. Spider-Man: Homecoming 10. Kind of a toss up between Black Panther/Avengers/Dr. Strange/Iron Man 2 Dr. Strange was surprisingly one of the more enjoyable rewatches. One of the most visually stunning MCU films and really expands the world, carving out its own mythology and lore specific to its subgenre.

It depends on the film. This isn’t the case for Black Panther, Dr. Strange, Captain America films, broad, fun vibe is the MCU style. And blending tones is as well. Going from some of the most somber, and serious stuff to comedic like Infinity War, Endgame, guardians 3. They don’t always get the balance right like Thor love and thunder.

I think guardians of the galaxy changed the tone of MCU, but I could the lead figure in the MCU is Robert Downey Jr and his whole approach is a comedic, improvisational style. Chris Pratt, Hemsworth, Tom Holland, all are really skilled comedic actors and it is just part of the style.
