I’m not saying I’m embarrassed about tonight’s #Taskmaster, but if anyone fancied starting a thread of really simple things they just happen not to be able to do, I reckon I would find it reassuring. Making toast? Telling the time? Doing shoes up?

@CrookedNuts Yep. Forever business geese now. I’m direct contrast to their Galoise smoking, nihilistic layabout counterparts...

I found out the other day that "penguin" in Mandarin Chinese is literally "business goose" and I haven't been able to think about anything else since.

RIP Margarita. Seeing her perform at the Royal Festival Hall many years ago brought me much joy.

@GraemePatfield Quite. The sign (like the pub) no longer exists. Hasn’t existed for about 6 years. It doesn’t help.

RIP KitKat, our sweet neighbourhood puss. He didn’t belong to us, but he spent a lot of time in our house, and we’re going to miss him. Nobody knows exactly how old he was, but we think he must have been 18 or thereabouts so he certainly had a good innings.

@emmaphanby My sixth form tutor was called Drusilla. Never knew which made me more uncomfortable, calling her that or the other option available to me - Mrs Peach.

@TeacherToolkit I worked for years in a school where students from year 7 called us by our first names. It made for great relationships with pupils, they knew who was teacher and student but no generic 'sir' or 'miss' where we are almost faceless. I liked it.
