@KentJett Eh this late everyone has issues. More just there's other upside/ascending prospects I'd rather chase. 5 year player who had multiple surgeries/injuries at a pretty physical position. Think he could be good spec teams/rotation but bigger/faster/strong NFL comp could challenge

@SCrarbil Yes strictly speaking in factual terms so as not to upset anyone, at this exact moment in time of his NFL career in April of 2026 he is not on the practice squad.

@emcphil He isn’t a p-squad cb, but it sure would be nice if by the time the season starts the depth is so good that he becomes one

Guys, I’m sorry saying Davis is a practice squad CB upsets you so much. He’s been that player for 7 seasons. He played over 75 snaps for the first time in his career last year and he is 30. He is literally the “replacement level player” we talk about. Sorry for wanting more 🤷🏻

@KentJett Lawson no and I say that as an Alabama fan. Perkins Jr I like but the Bengals and I disagree on how we view linebacker prospects and what the team needs at LB

@KentJett He did look fine. But none of the above that I said is negated by that, which is my overall point. My issue is w/ people saying we don’t need a CB because we have him there. If we had 30 year old Dre Kirkpatrick on the boundary, we would still be looking to draft a guy, right?

@VTamborina At that point certainly. Seems like teams are all aware of something more than we are medically. Even if you have to red shirt him for a year and he can physically only give you 4-5 good years you’re still thrilled with that this late in the draft

Because the only time I've seen you talk about Davis was last night and it came off as hating unnecessarily. That is all. Dude played well when called upon and even if he is average, that's not a bad thing. That is good enough for a defense that has as much talent on the DL and secondary around him as we do. That is my only point. The rant came off as hating.

@emcphil @CarasikS I just don't see the issue taking shots at and putting down a guy who stepped in and played well last year. It makes no sense to me. He was quite good. Bengals clearly wanted a guy who fit a different mold than a slot. Wasn't my favorite pick, but the hate seemed unnecessary.

But you weren't without emotion when you went on that "Jalen Davis is a HOF" rant. That was clearly full of emotion lol. That is my whole point. You can say, hey, I don't think we should count on him to start. You didn't. You sarcastically put a guy who payed well last year down.

@WhoDeyQ This is the spot where I kept feeling an extra 4th would be really nice. Feels like it could be the line of demarcation for a few different positions and still some top 100 guys you probably miss on before the 5th gets back around
