Tuchel never liked TAA from day one. I think he made up his mind long ago. Nothing else can explain taking Spence over TAA. Just nothing.

I agree that the timing was off, and it felt a little selfish. We know you want City, so why not coach the players you've built relationships with until the end of the season instead of such an abrupt departure?

I really don't blame Maresca for leaving Chelsea. He was a head coach, and people were dictating things to him. Man City came knocking, and you know they offer manager, stability and better players. You and I would still make that move. I guess that's why Chelsea adjusted the role for Xabi Alonso. If not, he will leave when a better offer arrives.

@MaxFSport BlueCo, literally implied that their model made him and the manager doesn’t matter. Took until they were in 10th position to realize that they were wrong. Why wouldn’t anyone want to leave them when the directors are more favoured

Unless I am missing something, Maresca didn’t get a pay rise after securing the top four target and then winning the club World Cup which no one thought Chelsea would, but the sporting directors did.
He then in the summer didn’t get backed as much as he would have liked (the whole centre back thing) and once City contacted him, he asked for more power and again a pay rise and extension to reflect what he had done at Chelsea.
Once Chelsea didn’t want to give him that until the summer review then he started to engage with City more seriously about a future job.
To Maresca it must have come across very much like the success of his tenure was down to the model and not his work, so why are people calling him a snake?
