As a kid I loved listening to the BBC World Service (on 648 kHz I think). For a 10-year-old from Chingford it was a very special window on the world. So, for World Radio Day, I play some classic @bbcworldservice signature tunes. #WorldRadioDay

"The level of danger for journalists operating in #Gaza right now is absolutely unprecedented. This is the most dangerous conflict for journalists that CPJ has ever documented, & we've been...documenting attacks against journalists for 30 years." CPJ's @jodieginsberg on @BBC ⬇️

Rushdi’s been displaced 4 times with his wife and children. I’ve been on this street with him in the past as he’s picked up his twin girls. Now he’s living in a tent. He’s still working. You can hear the bombardment. Gaza is a place whose people cannot flee war.

In Gaza, hundreds of thousands of people are living without food, water & essential supplies. @WFP's emergency operations could provide a vital lifeline to 800,000+ people, but borders must be kept open & protected.

Thread: a mix of some of the abusive messages I’ve had about my eyes in the past 12 hours why am I sharing these? I think it’s important to understand that this exists Frankly, I’m just pleased to be on-screen enough to be noticed, and for this type of abuse to be challenged
