15 yrs ago today, @MrKRudd stood in Parliament + delivered the apology to the Stolen Generations. In my electorate, people gathered at The Block in Redfern to watch.
I remember sitting in the House that day. The overwhelming feeling of sadness, grief + determination in the air.

Great to be back in Canberra today for the 15th anniversary of the Apology. I spoke on the "arc of history bending slowly towards justice". So good to see so many survivors of the Stolen Generation in Parliament House.

Under the former government refugees lived in limbo on temporary protection visas.
The Albanese Government has delivered on our promise to provide a permanent pathway for these visa holders, so they can move forward with their lives.
