@CarouselBus Hello, the road through Holmer Green is now open. Drivers are still using a diversion around the village so if you can update them. Thanks.

@KingCass89 @Twickets The replies in this thread kind of provides the answer. It’s not just one of us that is trying to do this at the same time! Then consider multiplying this by the ‘others’ not even in this thread…
English

@HelloBenWhite @OasisMania @liamgallagher @NoelGallagher @Twickets @Twickets are the ‘good guys’ in all of this and have had a fair model for fans for a while now. It’s a pity they are getting caught up in the storm. I hope people see they are trying to make it better for fans and the recent fee cap announcement shows they are listening.
English

@OasisMania @liamgallagher @NoelGallagher @Twickets They didn't decide this....
They were rightfully shamed into it by the general public for being greedy opportunists!!

Twickets have decided they will lower their booking fees for any tickets sold for the Oasis reunion tour.
Richard Davies, Founder of Twickets, said in an official statement: "Due to the exceptional demand for the Oasis tour in 2025, Twickets have taken the decision to lower our booking fee to 10% + a 1% transactional fee (to cover bank charges) for all buyers of their tickets on our platform. In addition we have introduced a fee cap of £25 per ticket for these shows. Sellers of tickets already sell free of any Twickets charge.

@OctopusEnergy I nominate as an #OctoPlusOne my husband Trevor. He deserves a treat because music, especially live music, is his sanctuary. He invests a lot of emotional energy in his job as a therapist and could do with the zest of a festival.

@MartinSLewis I complained about the change to Child Benefit in 2012 via my local MP and received a reply from then Chancellor, George Osborne. He acknowledged it wasn’t ideal, but was the simplest method. Happy to send that letter to you if it helps.
English

PS on child benefit, I doubt it is feasible to change the structure on 6 March. So if I were Chancellor I'd do a two pronged solution.
A) Immediately increase the level of the cut-off to say £65,000 from £50,000 (roughly what it would've been had it gone up with inflation from 2013) so it impacts fewer people.
B) launch a consultation on how to restructure it would be the most feasible
English

The budget is just 6 weeks away. Today I sent the Chancellor, @Jeremy_Hunt a letter, on his request, to ask that he fixes:
- Unfair Child Benefit rules penalising single income families
- The Lifetime ISA penalty hitting young 1st time buyers
- Above inflation mid-contract broadband & mobile price hikes
- The substantial real terms cuts to student living loans.
Please read the letter for full info. I hope he listens and we see change in the budget. He can't now say he wasn't told. I will also be sending the letter to @RachelReevesMP

@MoneySavingExp If it helps, here is my correspondence with the then Chancellor when the child benefit change was made. He acknowledges it wasn’t ideal, but simplest.

Martin Lewis has asked the Chancellor to fix broken Child Benefit, Lifetime ISAs, student loans, bills hikes and more.

@TicketmasterCS Hello, following on from my last tweet. Here is what we see (or rather don’t see) at Morrissey - Aylesbury tonight. Manager at Theatre has been very helpful but we must come through you to raise complaint.

English

@TicketmasterCS Hello, I would like to complain as I purchased 2 tickets for Morrissey at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and there is no view of the stage at all. Manager at Theatre said they only sell those tickets for max £13. I have photo evidence and order number. Please advise.
English

@witnessplayLDN Hello, I’d like to bring my 12 year old daughter along. Please may I ask if you have child price tickets? I read the offer for under 26’s but I think this is if everyone in the party is under 26 and sadly I’m nearly 50 so don’t qualify! Thanks for your help.

@NoContextBrits Starting work emails with ‘Happy Friday’ every Friday.
English

@SP33D_DEMON_ Agree. I complained to our local MP when this changed about 10 years ago. I got a reply from George Osborne. He said to assess joint income households would necessitate means testing, so they went with the simple (sledgehammer) approach to it. Never been fair.
English

#MartinLewis. Will there ever be a change in child benefit based on income because as it is if any individual in the house earns over 50k they start to owe back until 60k to which they owe all of it back yet a household bringing in 99k can still claim full child benefit so wrong
English

@BBCLondonNews Thanks for this interesting read. I'd not heard of the case before.

A hundred years ago today, Edith Thompson was hanged at Holloway Prison for the murder of her husband.
She was executed even though there was no evidence she had any involvement in his stabbing.
But what really happened?
