@piratecapt16 @DKaiserjager That’s not true, if Rs had shown up in the runoff in 2020 that seat would be red. Trump is deporting exactly the people who fraudulently vote. You’re making excuses

@endofanepoch @DKaiserjager Well I recently relocated after a death in the family but my local reps are all friends and the national reps are untouchable. I am voting for Rick Jackson for governor. Without the SAVE Act my national vote is useless, Georgia has two stolen senate seats now.

Roughly 1 in 4 white Southern men of military age died during the Civil War. This represents one of the highest casualty rates for any society in modern warfare. You don’t simply forget that.

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt Please share these miracles. When our Lord Jesus demands to be believed he signs it with miracles so that we know he is from God. When the apostles went to preach they confirmed the preaching with miracles. Where are the LDS miracles?

Just because you haven't seen any doesn't mean they don't happen. There have been plenty documented in Church History. Also, the translation of the Book of Mormon is proof that Joseph Smith was a prophet. When one reads it and asks the Lord with real intent to know if it's true, they can receive an answer from the Lord.

Dear Mormons, I’m not sorry. You know what you mean by “Divine” isn’t what everyone else means. I know it. You know I know it. This is called a lie by omission. You’re all coping that I said a true thing. Every Christian (which you are not) can read your corruption of the Gospel of St. John. You’re religion is a corruption. All of you lying by omission publicly and without missing a beat does not help you cause. It makes you look like dishonest snakes who want to deceive. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto, Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Sincerely, Thursday

@piratecapt16 @DKaiserjager Yes, I understand you’d rather surrender your homeland than muscle up the courage to say no to the foreigners who are taking native jobs and voting for satanic democrats

@endofanepoch @DKaiserjager Bruh, I am a baptist and not a cult following demonic Catholic. I’ll even take the Catholic Hispanics over the outright satanic dems. Those who lay down and take the lies of Satan are the Catholics.

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt Where are the public miracles that confirm the new revelation promoted by Joseph smith and the authority of your church? No, the appearance of the angel to JS and friends is not what I mean by “public miracle”. Our Lord Jesus went around healing and he rose from the dead.

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt I understand that your church teaches the Father Son and Holy Ghost to be one godhead united but distinct substances. Your church was not given authority to teach and bind these things nor were there accompanying miracles to testify to its authority. Where are the miracles?

@piratecapt16 @DKaiserjager They don’t. Hispanics are a major D voting bloc. Trump is the first R to make any gains there and he only got 45% of the Hispanic vote. If only Hispanics had voted he would have lost.

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt Okay, so you do understand that you mean something different when you say “God” than when I say “God”. So stop playing these disingenuous word games so we can speak plainly. What do you mean when you say I got my definition of God from a political council?

@endofanepoch @thesanityrevolt "Words refer to real things." Yes. Which is why when I say that Christ is the 'Eternal God', I mean it. Just because you decided to get your definition of "God" from a political council rather than revelation doesn't mean you get a monopoly on the word.

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt You keep doing it. Do you actually not understand? We mean different things when we say “God”. Words refer to real things they aren’t the things themselves. When you say “God” do you mean an eternal uncreated being who created all things out of nothing?

I'm sorry, but this is funny. I said that not being a Catholic, I don't understand papal infallibility. The thread has gone semi-viral ( 50k views in 2 hours), and most of the replies seem to be outraged Catholics saying I don't understand papal infallibility. Well yeah, 😂
Labrador Skeptic@SaysSimulation

Look, I'm not a Catholic. I wish them the best, and how one reconciles "papal infallibility" with blatantly political secular Popes (the Borgias et al) is up to their religion. But, the dark horse Chicago Dem Pope Leo was elected specifically for the purpose of trying to 1/

@LatterDayJester @thesanityrevolt This is exactly what he’s talking about and this attitude is pervasive when discoursing with both regular LDS members and LDS apologists. It’s frustrating and discrediting. Just be honest about what you believe and how it is different from the historic christian faith.

If we had the golden plates in a museum, and every expert in the world agreed Joseph translated the Book of Mormon correctly, would that "prove" The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true? Would everyone be compelled to join the Church?

Most Sunbelt boomtowns are functionally just venues for making money and personal advancement. People are there for purely opportunistic reasons, and will leave for the same ones. No commitment or real roots in place.

I am astounded by the number of millennial families who moved to Dallas, bought a home, then turned around and sold the home to move out of Dallas, in less than a 5 year time span Is Dallas just super transient or is this a post-pandemic phenomenon happening everywhere?

Absolutely spot on. I have been telling people to read Neil Postman’s “Amusing Ourselves to Death” NOW for almost 20 years, and this is why. Postman destroys one of our society’s most naive assumptions, namely, that newer technology is somehow neutral.

I’m a Georgia boy and if we were invaded today, me and a few of my friends would gladly become skirmishers. Only today, we wouldn’t be at a disadvantage in terms of technology, or firearms, or industrialization. We still might let someone burn Atlanta, but they wouldn’t ever make it to Savannah.

@HiddenYorkshire You’re confusing the agape feast with the Eucharist, which was rigidly hierarchical from the beginning. See The Shape of The Liturgy by Dom Gregory Dix, an Anglican.

Every post-hoc defence of rood screens comes down essentially to a view that *something* (the priest, the Eucharist, the worship etc) is too holy for the congregants, but this is not the faith practiced by the apostles. All the evidence we have of the church during the Roman era shows it to be one where the community gathered like an extended family, sharing in the presence of God together, not arbitrating who deserved to be in the presence and who didn't.
