Today, @Ripple announced the acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25B, one of the largest deals ever in the crypto space. @enej_p I know both you and @gatehub have to be better than this after working with you for years at XRPL Labs In January, I asked Gatehub support to update the email address used to login into my account. It got ignored for a month or so and you got that moving forward.

The final crossing of t’s and dotting of i’s – and what should be my last update on SEC v Ripple ever… Last week, the SEC agreed to drop its appeal without conditions. @Ripple has now agreed to drop its cross-appeal. The SEC will keep $50M of the $125M fine (already in an interest-bearing escrow in cash), with the balance returned to Ripple. The agency will also ask the Court to lift the standard injunction that was imposed earlier at the SEC’s request. All subject to Commission vote, drafting of final documents and usual court processes. That’s all folks!

Some weeks feel like months in crypto...this was one of them. From the @WhiteHouse Crypto Summit to the @CFTC CEO Roundtable and the sheer amount of news announced (hooray for @NatCryptoAssoc!), it’s been quite a few days. There’s been a lot of talk about what this White House has and will prioritize with their crypto agenda - most importantly, regulatory clarity through Congressional action, as well as a BTC reserve & crypto stockpile, support for stablecoin innovation backed by US Treasuries, and more. I was extremely pleased to see the incredible support from this administration. It’s easy to get lost in some of the maxi-induced noise, but there’s so much more to this industry than the infighting and one coin versus another time-wasting rhetoric. We will – as we’ve always done -- continue to champion the need for a level playing field (and it was great to hear others in the room echo this as well!) and for the industry to come together to move much needed legislation forward in the US. An incredible THANK YOU to @realdonaldtrump for opening and welcoming us to the White House (amazing contrast to the the hostility of the Biden administration), @davidsacks47 and @BoHines for a truly historic Summit, and @carolinedpham for hosting us at the CFTC!

$134Bn of XRP will soon be able to get yield on Flare through FXRP and also native XRP Staking.

The staking protocol that Flare is collaborating on will allow both native XRP and FXRP to be staked to provide economic security to a service. This could be a new chain, L2, bespoke oracle or even a decentralized AI protocol. The XRP staked to this service secures that protocol, establishing a market for security denominated in XRP and generating yield on XRP. You will be able to get a liquid staking token on Flare which represents your staked XRP with which you can do further financial operations.
