BPC Nigeria is very excited to see a life Yellow backed duiker from GGNP and hereby gives big thumbs 👍 up to ANI Foundation for their recent wonderful discoveries using Camera trap technologies which has brought to light some of our living hidden treasures in North Eastern -

A few weeks ago, we came across this spectacular yellow-backed duiker (Cephalophus silvicultor) in Gashaka Gumti National Park. They have the largest body size of the forest dwelling duiker family (the size of a small cow) and a perfect example of the kind of prey supporting recently discovered leopards in Gashaka Gumti National Park.

@HappinessEniang @younger_bee @KingLongji @ANU_Bees @year_super @GBIF @inaturalist African bees feed on all kind of feeding stuff they find depending on the environment/ habitat. From flowering plants to rottening plants and animals materials to human sweat and urine, soil minerals, etc, they just keep feeding to make our natural ecosystem balanced...

@firstladyship He spent that much because he naively believed in the judiciary which was why he assembled a cream of lawyers and forensic witnesses to actualise his mandate, tragically he was disappointed by the highly compromised judiciary that dispensed a travesty of justice.

I was pained when I realized that Peter Obi’s legal fees was more than what he spent on the campaign itself. This would have been avoided if INEC had justified the N300 Billion spent on the general election.
Mahmood Yakubu failed Nigerians; he wasted massive financial & moral goodwill to deliver a shambolic election.
What he spent on his campaigns was not up to 1% of what the APC spent on delegates bribe alone. By spending the least amount of money & making the most impact, Peter Obi practiced what he meant by prudent management of scarce resources.
Imagine what he could have done in 9 months? Tracking & monitoring of Campaign Financing/Spending fall under the purview of INEC. But @inecnigeria has never done its job, nor sanctioned anyone, not once!
Peter Obi took it upon himself to audit his own campaign finances & render accountability to Nigerians who elected him.
Electoral Disputes in Nigeria are very expensive. Campaign Financing is not only expensive, the GO TO COURT cliche is expensive as well.
In all the Campaign Financial Accountability Report rendered by Peter Obi, what stood out for me was the “legal expenses.” It cost him an arm & a leg to go to court.
I could remember he said that he doesn’t have the money for litigation. He said this when Nigerians were urging him to contest.
Now I understand what they meant by “go to court.” To run for the Office of the President of Nigeria, you need money to settle the delegates & monies for your campaign itself.
But most importantly; you need big money for GO TO COURT!
Now you wonder why people get in, & totally forget the masses & all their campaign promises? Nigerians can never win with such a crazy arrangement, NEVER!!! 💔

@HappinessEniang @_YCNetwork @folake_oduntan @Lindyt18 @greenfingerswi @aplori_org @WCS_Nigeria @Alison_Learning @Ornithopus75 @UNVolunteers @UN @Gameandwildlife The insecurity in our country is rapidly becoming a serious challenge to field biological research and Biodiversity Conservation. The increasing threats to life and property during field expeditions calls for a change of field methods that puts the researchers at too much risks.
