You watch this video and understand what a power supply does to an economy. The video does not even address small vocational artisans such as food vendors, hair stylists, barbers, etc. Power is a key enabler; providing power creates jobs, reduces insecurity, fights inflation, boosts GDP, and attracts FDI. President Tinubu also understood this, which is why he promised to fix power, but he has yet to succeed. Any Nigerian politician who cannot fix power but can collect taxes is not serious about development.

My mother’s younger sister met and married a man named Anthony Ifegwu from Abia State while they were both in Niger State. They lived together in Kpakungwu, Minna, Niger State. In January 2006, she passed away, leaving behind three young children: the daughter, born on October 18, 1994; Chibuike Monday Samuel (the first son), born on November 14, 1999; and Uchenna Precious (the younger son), born on September 12, 2002. After their mother’s death, the eldest child — their daughter — came to stay with my mother, where she was raised and cared for as her own. However, their father, Anthony Ifegwu, took the two boys with him and sent someone to carry them to his village in Abia State. The exact village was unknown to our family; we had no address or contact information, making it impossible to trace them at the time. Tragically, the person Anthony Ifegwu sent to take the boys to the village was involved in a serious accident while coming back and died. Later, Anthony Ifegwu himself died a mysterious death at home. His body was discovered only when it started decomposing and smelling. For many years, we searched for the boys but had no leads. The daughter, now grown, has been worried and living in constant guilt for years. She has not been able to see or reconnect with her two younger brothers for over 20 years, and this long separation weighs heavily on her heart. Then, just a week ago, my mother accompanied the daughter to visit Anthony Ifegwu’s cousin sister, who is already advanced in age. My mother hoped this elderly woman could provide information about the whereabouts of Chibuike Monday Samuel and Uchenna Precious. Unfortunately, even though she is aware of the children’s whereabouts, she refused to share any details. To this day, the two boys remain lost to us. Their sister, who grew up under my mother’s care, is the only one of the three siblings we have been able to raise and stay connected with. The pain and guilt of not knowing what became of Chibuike Monday Samuel and Uchenna Precious continues to weigh heavily on our family, especially on their sister. I am begging the public for help in reuniting the daughter with her two brothers. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Chibuike Monday Samuel (born November 14, 1999) and Uchenna Precious (born September 12, 2002), sons of the late Anthony Ifegwu from Abia State — or if you have any information about his family, village, or relatives — please come forward. Any lead, no matter how small, could help bring this family back together after more than two decades apart

The guy she was cheating with whom she has known for 3 months messaged me and asked me to leave his girlfriend that they are planning to marry, someone I have been dating for 4yrs. When he told me they have known for like 3 months, I asked him if 3 months was enough to marry someone, he said he loves her, I said okay. The guy even sent me private videos I did with my girl that were in my girl's phone which he took without her knowing as a prove that he has caught her cheating on him. I called my girl that night to ask if she knows the number because I told her the number chatted me, she said it was a girl. I pressed further, she then accepted it was a guy but they are not doing anything. I ended the call, message the guy to meet me in person the next day. I drove to the venue, when the guy saw me he greeted me with two hands and called me "boss good afternoon sir", me self weak. When I gave the guy the details of our relationship, the guy begged me that he would like us to join hands run the girl street. We can even be running threesome, I told him to relax. The guy even apologized to me join. He showed me the sex videos with him and my babe, I took all of them from him. When he was leaving I gave him 20k to pay transport. The guy probably told the my girl and asked her to stay away from him, she came to my house crying and begging. I asked my gateman to open the gate for her, I welcomed home and assured her that I have forgiven her. Three months after the incident, I went to her place with my people and requested for marriage list, which they gave me. Then I made up a story with my friend of how my business has been bad and customs seized my goods, my lubricant business in PH folded. She even went to PH with me to meet my sales girl. Ever since then she has been the one providing for me. I made her move in with me after her rent expired so that we can spend the rent money. She has given me money 3 times to try some businesses and I just paid in the money into my account and told her the businesses failed. She fuels my car, provide every single thing that we use in the house. Buys me clothes and other things. Give me pocket money. She is hoping that things will get better tomorrow and I will marry her. I really spent money on this girl then. Well, I have taking more than I gave to her. I want to take away all her time. It's almost 3yrs since the cheating incidence happened. She has lived with me for almost 2years now and have had 7 abortions. Once she completes 5years of living with me and taking care of me, by then she will be 31yrs, I will then break up with her and send her out of my house, then marry within 2 months after that. I'm already dating the girl I intend to marry.

Corporate Greed vs Everyday workers: Life of a contract staff in Nigeria My father worked at Zenith Manufacturing Ltd in Apapa for 28 years. Never missed a day. Won Best Staff twice at their annual dinner. Last Monday, the HR manager called him on WhatsApp. 4 minutes. That was it. Retired early. No severance. Nothing. The same month, the MD flew to Dubai for the company’s “executive retreat.” Dubai. My father left Ikorodu at 5am every morning to beat third mainland bridge traffic. Every single day for 28 years. He turned down a government job in 2009 because he believed in that company. They let go of 280 staff that week. 280 families. The disengagement letter came via email. They spelled his surname wrong. After 28 years, they couldn’t spell ADEYEMI correctly. He sat in the parlour that evening and just stared at the wall. My mother kept bringing him tea he never touched. We didn’t know what to say. He’s 56. No pension processed. NSITF contributions? Unaccounted for. NHF? Nobody is picking up. This is happening in companies all over Lagos, Abuja, PH. Everyday Nigerians sacrificing everything while oga at the top is chilling. Make una repost. Make this reach.

@Afrinvest response to this situation is deeply concerning. A system glitch on their platform executed multiple unsolicited trades on investors’ accounts… and now they’re asking those same investors to bear the financial consequences? Let’s be clear: These were not user-initiated transactions. No investor placed those orders. This was a broker-side failure. Yet the resolution being offered is: “Fund your wallet or sell the shares.” So investors are now forced to: • Inject fresh cash to fix a problem they didn’t create, or • Sell positions they never intended to hold And here’s an even bigger question nobody is answering: Who pays for the transaction costs? Because every trade comes with: • CSCS charges • Broker commissions • SEC/NGX fees • VAT and other taxes If these trades were triggered by a system glitch, why should investors also bear: the cost of execution… and the cost of reversing it? That means investors could lose money even if they immediately sell, simply because of fees tied to trades they never authorized. How is that acceptable? Ownership of the shares is being used as justification, but let’s not ignore the core issue: Consent. These trades were executed without investor authorization. In any fair and properly regulated market: • Unauthorized trades should be reversed, or • The institution at fault should absorb all associated costs Not pass everything onto the customer. This is bigger than Afrinvest. It’s about market integrity, investor protection, and accountability. Because if this becomes the standard, then every retail investor is exposed to system risks they cannot control… …and still forced to pay for. That should worry all of us

@FinPlanKaluAja1 The centralised structure of the grid was necessary so the end use tariff or price will be fairly distributed. It is cheaper to produce ⚡with hydro. Hydro plants(north). Gas or thermal plants tariffs(south)are higher so the cheaper tariff dilutes the price.

Lagos State wanted to detach Lagos State from the power grid under Governor Bola Tinubu and Enron, but the FGN stopped him FGN also stopped Rivers and Akwa-Ibom Abia State lucked out with GEJ and Bart Nnaji and got an early start. Now that laws have been amended, States can exercise power. It should have happened from 1999 Nigeria can't run a single national grid; it's too inefficient Regarding the Discos, they should own the grids and buy and sell power on their terms. This “nationalisation” of everything does not allow for business efficiency How can power be generated in Bayelsa and transmitted all the way to Yobe I know nothing about power, happy to be educated

Meet Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, (MNSE, FNSE). He is the expert, the brain behind some of the wonders you see in Abia state. Here is the handle, go & follow him @hikemann. Monday is the Commissioner for Power & Public Utilities. We all know he won’t go back empty-handed. The reason is simple: “he was poached from General Electric as an engineer to head the Power & Public Utilities Ministry in Abia state.” A power & energy expert with vast experience in Gas & Steam Turbines. He is an Alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Yola & Roehampton Business School, London. Former roles include: Engineering Manager at Sulzer (Netherlands), Gas Turbine Specialist at GE (Africa & Middle East), Obajana Cement & Granite Services. He is driving electricity access, solar initiatives, mini-grids, transformer distribution & water scheme rehabilitation under Gov. Alex Otti. He is dedicated to powering businesses, lighting up Abia, & improving lives in the state. Alex Otti has simplified governance. If he succeeds in pulling the state away from the National Grid, Abia will become the first Nigerian state to achieve Energy Autonomy since independence. In fact, it would become the first to achieve Energy Security since 1914. He has made other sub-nationals look like jokes. He sent his commissioner for works to the Netherlands to negotiate the energy deal. He didn’t have to fly abroad himself. He is right there in Abia facing the business of governance No excuses, no sharing of rice. Just reliable electricity, infrastructure & industrialization 👏
