Thrilled to announce the opening of the Srivatsan Lab (srivatsan-lab.com) at the @fredhutch. The lab will be building new sequencing technologies to understand how our cells and bodies form over the course of development.

Started my dream job as an assistant professor @hcdeUW. It was a long and circuitous path to get here, but an adventurous journey that taught me a lot. Thankful for all the advice & support I received along the way from my PhD and postdoc advisors, family, friends, and mentors.
UW Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE)@hcdeUW

Welcoming Katya Cherukumilli, the newest assistant professor to join the HCDE faculty! Dr. Cherukumilli is an environmental engineer and water chemist whose work bridges the gap between scientific discovery, technology design, and real-world impact. hcde.washington.edu/news/welcome-k…

what is this @NatureComms? "mentors benefit more when working with male protégés" "current diversity policies promoting female–female mentorships, as well-intended as they may be, could hinder the careers of women" I mean... Really???
Dr. Kaia Mattioli@kaia_mattioli

this paper is misguided at best and willfully harmful at worst. nothing has been better for my career than my women mentors. nothing. it is why I continue to actively seek them out, and why I continue to be involved in women’s mentorship organizations like @HGWISE
