We are simplifying our subscriptions by removing AI credits as part of the base Google AI plans. Accordingly, we have adjusted the base plan entitlements upwards for Gemini models on @antigravity . AI credits will now solely be used as an overage mechanism. For a limited time, we’re offering new and existing Google AI Ultra subscribers USD $100 in bonus AI credits for Antigravity that will kick in if you hit your plan’s quota limit — just claim the offer in your Antigravity app. The offer expires May 25, 2026. Terms apply. Learn more here - antigravity.google/blog/changes-t…

@antigravity i got 2 prompts on flash, sick! training on opus was perhaps too effective (this is a 1 day old codebase with no sub-agents, and i already capped $100 ultra inside 1h on medium)

@cheatyyyy whats even the point of it anymore? Flash was for quick/cheap tasks, PRO was for long/complex tasks. If Flash is now this expensive, Im not sure I need the extra intelligence and Ill just stick with 2.5 flash

Deep learning is still progressing, but it is not destiny. The field is not closed. The future has not been assigned. Agency is contagious and doomerism is a mind virus.

Three things dominating my feed right now: 1. The new X algorithm. 2. Google I/O in 2 days. 3. SF is apparently in an existential crisis. I'm only excited about one of them (it's the one where I actually launch things). The SF thing - that's one take. Personally, I spent the morning at the playground with my three kids, then we all went out for a chaotic lunch together, and now they're napping while I read a book outside with my dog on the couch beside me. But instead of going into more details on these trending topics, I need you to know that I did something deeply uncharacteristic today: leaned real hard into self-care Sunday. I decided to get my nails done before the most intense week of the year - and they are making me smile. This is absolutely not what the algorithm wants me to post about (I know this because of the dozens of people who have written the same deconstruction of it). Posting it anyway. 💅 Happy Sunday everyone 💛

People talk about the AI sycophancy problem, but the inverse problem is meaningless critique. Upload a real Rothko, say you made a reproduction, and ask how you did. Gemini 3.1 Pro is the only model that consistently says "yea that's good"

i get some anxiety not using the smartest-available model/settings. but sometimes i dont mind if it's really slow. i wonder if we should focus more on a price/speed tradeoff relative to a price/intelligence tradeoff.

The top 5 labs in Text Arena rankings by category show that frontier models have distinct strengths and tradeoffs. #1 @AnthropicAI, Claude Opus 4.7 - The most consistently dominant model overall, leading top-tier across nearly every major category. #2 @GoogleDeepMind, Gemini 3.1 Pro - Well-rounded, with a notable edge in Creative Writing, ranked below Opus 4.7 and GPT-5.5 High in Expert #3 @AIatMeta, Muse Spark - Particularly strong in Overall and Coding, though it’s lagging behind in Expert tasks, Math, and Longer Query performance. #4 @OpenAI, GPT-5.5 High - One of the most balanced models overall, staying competitive with the top two across most categories, with especially strong performance in Expert and Math. #5 @xAI, Grok 4.20 - A more specialized profile, standing out primarily in Creative Writing and Hard Prompts, while lagging behind in Expert tasks.

Been using Codex much more than Claude Code lately It's wild that Claude became popular *because* it had the best-in-class models for coding... and all it had to do was hold the lead

🚨 OPEN SOURCE AI IS LITERALLY UNSTOPPABLE 🚨 The legendary founder of Redis (Antirez) just dropped ds4 - a custom native inference engine built specifically for DeepSeek v4 Flash This is earth shattering! Here is why: DeepSeek v4 Flash is a quasi-frontier model with a massive 1M context window You can now run it LOCALLY on a 128GB Mac using specialized 2-bit quantization The architecture is reimagined—he moved the KV cache from RAM directly to the SSD disk! 🤯 We already know DeepSeek v4 Flash is insanely good for agentic loops - Now you don't even need the cloud to run it Closed-source labs are burning tens of billions on massive GPU clusters while single brilliant developers are running frontier-level AI on laptops! They told us open-source would be worthless against trillion-dollar monopolies Instead, pure hacker culture + incredible open-weight models are completely rewriting the rules Open Source will ALWAYS win 💕

@thsottiaux 5.5 xhigh is really lacking the STEM reasoning ability of pro-ET, and is a major pain point in keeping context up-to-date between the two models. I need to be able to spend codex usage for 2x thinking, not 2x speed!

We are seeing strong traction and working to improve Codex for scientists across mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and more. What do you wish it were capable of that it cannot do today?
