@FinanceJack44 Somewhat just a matter of a taste, but I suppose I would move $AVGO to A, $AMD to B, and would drop $TSM to D.

@InvestingAddict I agree. And not only younger investors.
Market up? I buy. Market down? I buy.
I save money in savings. Money that is meant for investing gets invested.
English

Young investors should be focused on consistently investing and not sitting on cash waiting for a dip.

@DevotedDividend I think they are both excellent.
I currently hold $FDVV - and have for quite a while.
I have considered adding $SCHD but have not done that. At least, not yet.

@ceomnsr Keep it simple and establish a foundation of a no more than a few core holdings, to begin with.

Without knowing more about your specific situation, one suggestion, if your W2 employment and other responsibilities in your life allow for it, is that you work a side gig. It can be one you create for yourself or any of the gig economy options available.
This can be relatively small, but consider the value if you keep living and working your budget off of your current income and put all of the post-tax proceeds from the gig into your investments or a savings for a specific purpose.
This may or may be suitable for you but that's one suggestion. All the best!

@equanimoney Very interesting! I got X , W2, Dividends and interest
I want to grow as many as possible though, do you have any suggestions for a 19 year old to start?

Do you have an actual budget, whether in an app or on paper? If so, what method do you use? What tools do you use?

The friends and colleagues who seem like they're miles ahead financially?
Most of them aren't.
Most of them have nicer cars on bigger loans.
Bigger houses with bigger mortgages.
Holidays that go on credit cards.
The actual wealthy ones are usually the boring ones…
With the older car who you'd never suspect.
Stop comparing yourself to a Range Rover.
You don't know what's parked next to it in interest payments.

@itsbullionaire_ Other factors: Is your income stable? Are you married? Do you have children? Are you healthy? Do you have debt? What is your housing situation?
To answer the question, I'd say, in general, three months is typically a sufficient emergency fund for someone in their 20s.

@CarsonTalkMoney I have multiple streams of income but my primary vocation is massage therapy and bodywork services.

@OBPinvestments I'm glad that I found your account and story because it's similar to mine. I'm following and will be interested in watching your journey.

I spent the last 10+ years living paycheck to paycheck, losing the majority of my extra money on Sports Gambling.
No savings. No investments. No plan.
Chasing the thrill of quick wins put me in a deep hole over time.
At the beginning of 2026 I Quit Gambling completely & shifted my focus to make sure the next 10 years of my life is worth living.
Now every dollar I used to throw away on gambling goes into Bitcoin and ETF’s.
Building from the ground up. Day by Day.
The next 10 years WILL look different.
Follow the journey. 📈

Good question. I think different people approach this differently.
For me, discipline is taking time to research investments, developing a sound strategy, and then committing to stick to it.
I re-evaluate over time but am not prone to make changes without significant reason. I re-balance as needed.
There's more to it but that can serve as a sufficient X answer.
English

@DevotedDividend 100% agree, ETF as core of your portfolio, and next I go to tematic ETF and stocks !

@QualCompounders $MCD is on my watch list. It's just risen above its 52-week low. I'm considering that it may be undervalued.
