I think this will go down as the turning point in our national political landscape. I vehemently dislike Reform’s new policy on locating detainment centres in non-Reform voting constituencies. 1) in most Green-voting constituencies there will be thousands of people living there who did NOT vote Green. Why should they be punished? 2) Increasing someone’s likelihood of being a victim of crime simply because they didn’t vote for you is dictator-y. Collective punishment is for socialists. We need a solution but this is NOT it. I hope they rethink.

I must say I am *shocked* at how many of the highly ‘virtuous and kind’ left wing media and establishment politicians have revealed they view living near asylum seekers is a “punishment”. Whoever would have thought!

Wow, what a PHENOMENAL response to our new policy to prioritise Green controlled areas for illegal migrant detention centres! This is what democratic consent means, and the majority of people in this country who are sick of the establishment pushing open borders and want all illegals deported are delighted. @BenGrahamUK @RalphWOlly It’s absolutely the right idea. People should get what they vote for. A vote for Green means you love migration, and the Greens open border policies, so it makes sense your area takes the migrants in.

Reform’s latest proposal is certainly a bold way of framing local accountability. The argument is simple: if voters choose parties with more liberal positions on immigration, then those communities should be prepared to shoulder the reality of those policies. Do you think this is a good idea?
