“As painful as it might be, I knew that we had to get into the broader market in order to understand it well enough to build the right product. Paradoxically, the only way to do that was to ship and try to sell the wrong product. We would fall on our faces, but we would learn fast and do what was needed to survive.” #buildinpublic

in your life, you choose whom to make king, politicians? dictators? emperors? or Christ? politicians rise. kings fall. empires crumble. Christ reigns forever. #christisking

tokens-to-profit is going to be the new economic term. #ai #productivity
Erildo@erildox

@futurism this is the wrong thing to measure, measure productivity: tokens-to-profit. if you are worrying about tokens spent, you are not making enough money.

@satoritrade 💯 agree John. my comment was more focused on AI upside and the necessity but the mechanism is too unsustainable

@erildox Hi Erildo. I agree that we're early in broad AI adoption. And there will be huge upside for companies that use AI to increase sales and efficiency. But the market mechanism that turns every dollar of AI capex investment into $10 in stock market value is unsustainable long term

🚀 The AI Multiplier Effect is wild 🚀 How do you turn $10 Billion into $100 Billion ? Let’s do the math: Every dollar spent on chips, data centers, and infrastructure is a dollar of revenue for AI equipment suppliers. If those suppliers trade at a standard 10x sales valuation, that $10 Billion in hardware spending instantly translates into $100 Billion in new stock market value 🤯 The market is being pumped up 💪 by AI spending steroids 💉 But what are the long term effects🤔 #AI #Investing #Tech #Finance #StockMarket

Steve Jobs’ famous rule on hiring was: "A-players hire A-players, but B-players hire C-players". He warned that if you tolerate one 'B' player on a team, they lower expectations, slow decisions, and make mediocrity acceptable. He observed that in software, the gap between an average person and the best is massive.

one of the best books Ive read so far on management, what is the right thing and how to do it, and above all how things change when you actually care about doing a great job. when I first started reading this book, it did not appeal to me that much but after the first chapters, it is an incredible work of art. I like it a lot and as someone who has seen not that good management firsthand, loved it. Incredible insight @bhorowitz

@jfladell @bhorowitz Definitely one of my favorites. Read it so quickly and loved wisdom in it. I identify with those lessons learned a lot. You have no idea what difference it makes between companies

@elonmusk @Scobleizer It would be great to have some examples on how they use it. I agree that real world useful is very important but also some (not all) benchmarks are a checkpoint towards the road ahead but not the path.

Our internal assessment is that Grok 4.5 is roughly comparable to Opus 4.7, but much faster. The combination of capability, faster speed and lower cost is what makes it competitive. We are closing the loop on real-world usefulness, not benchmarks. Hardcore engineers at Tesla & SpaceX find Grok 4.5 genuinely useful, which is what actually matters.

Based on strong positive feedback from customers in our beta test program, @SpaceXAI will make Grok 4.5 available to the public tomorrow. It is an Opus-class model, but faster, more token-efficient and lower cost.

there are different ways to see this problem: -if it turns out that stock outperforms your expectations, you will regret not buying more. In this case one solution might be buy now, build conviction later. you give yourself a deadline and follow the plan. -if it sinks, you will regret even buying half, so you might opt out unless you have build full conviction. You profit even if you are a bit late.

The simplest, dumbest-sounding, yet most effective psychological trading hack I’ve ever learned: When you’re less than fully convicted, buy or sell half of what you’re considering. I’ve rarely regretted those trades.
