If you assume a nonzero number of blue voters, then picking blue is a natural Schelling point. More to the point: there are many reasons someone might pick blue, and we should not be sentencing them to death for their “mistake.”

The Discourse around UBI is really weird and incoherent
This post is correct: UBI already exists for most Americans (everyone except heterosexual White and Asian men of working age). But the only people who still argue that UBI is Bad are....hetero White and Asian men of working age. Very strange. These people seem to be instinctively reacting against (existing) UBI being harmful to them, instead of engaging with the substance of the discussion (whether or not UBI should also be available to them, going forward)
Obviously, in principle and in the abstract, UBI is disastrous for a society (and look at what it has done to ours in practice). But our entire society is already dependent on UBI. To argue against current UBI is to argue for the complete collapse of our society. Which would definitely be great, but that's not what anti-UBI people are arguing: they're actually claiming that *more* UBI would collapse society (And That's A Bad Thing). It's totally incoherent and backwards!
People really need to snap out of treating the world like it's an abstraction that strictly functions according to Abstract Principles. The world is a real thing that Exists and can be concretely modeled, analyzed, predicted, extrapolated, etc. This stuff reminds me of Libertarianism: totally detached from reality in its own Cinematic Universe; almost a parody of itself

There is no "political coalition" possible with Jews. Meanwhile in the real world, everyone hates AI, is well aware that it's going to make life worse for everyone, and is well aware that it has not penetrated the real economy yet and is instead just an excuse to lay off competent Americans and hire incompetent Indians instead. People recognize it as a scam being run for the benefit of insiders and financiers (at the expense of the general public), because that's what it is I could go on with several more examples but this is already too long. This place just....sucks now. It's a platform for bad actors to lie, propagandize, and grift. Not for information-sharing or honest discussion. And I don't think it can be salvaged - it has to be replaced by something new

It's not that no one can Imagine an alternative - it's very easy to pinpoint probs and solutions - it's that humans are not actually in control of our society at all, so we can't change it. "The Billionaires" do not control human society. Everything that "The Billionaires" do is at the behest of technocapital. They are just vessels for it. This becomes obvious when you actually think about it for a while
One of my biggest Intellectual pet peeves is how "libs" have poisoned the well of discourse around technocapital. Any intelligent person's brain immediately turns off when they hear the words 'capitalism' or 'capital,' because they know that 99.9% of the time the person uttering them is an evil hostile libtard parasite who is spewing self-serving bullshit to justify trying to steal from them
I recently saw a post on here that lamented "libs" leaving this place, saying it was a Bad Thing. No. It cannot be stated strongly enough how evil and destructive they are. There is no "good faith" or "useful" "dialogue" with libs. Someone who is still a libtard in 2026 is, by definition, an individual with whom there is no possible positive-sum interaction. The only "Winning Move" is to completely avoid interacting with them, like with genuine psychopaths

It's called Hypernormalisation, everyone knows the system is bogus, but nobody can imagine any alternative to the status quo, and so we collectively carry on as if this makes sense for lack of a conceivable alternative. People have spoken on it since before 2020 / Lockdown time. In general America is thoroughly a fake place. Nothing objectively works. The Schools for example do not work, everything the schools do is either dysfunctional or a scam and also dysfunctional, but new initiatives are cooked up, consultants are paid, grades inflated, people promoted and the kids become less intelligent. Nobody advocates any change that isn't doubling down on failure. The negotiations are a scam, everyone knows it, we know it, we know they know it, we all even mention it publicly that its a scam. The elections are are waste of time, both candidates are usually bought and paid for and if they are not they can be lawfared out. Nobody can make changes; after all "Peace through STRENGTH!" and belief that the USA must have secret alien tech or something, blah blah blah, the endless record of failure be damned. The entire economy is just an Ouroboros of tech VC's, Israeli arms dealers, and hype mean selling enshittifcation, mainly AI and data centers that now account for over 90% of the on paper economic growth, and its all just absurd amounts of electricity eaten up to make videos of strawberry's shitting out other strawberry's and emails nobody wants to write or read. Plus with this Iran war crippling energy prices, probably this will be harder to paper over how obviously bullshit it is. Why do Americans carry on knowing the economy, military, society in general is just a bunch of scams, grifts, and obvious illusions? Well, nobody in America can conceive of any other way of life. This simply IS how things are, nothing else can even be imagined and I suppose enough sense deadening comforts exist for now that this can carry on.

The blue/white-collar divide is uncanny in how perfectly it illustrates the Eloi-Gynocracy. Blue-collar workers get all of the responsibility, all of the accountability, none of the rewards - because they're male. White-collar "workers" get none of the responsibility, none of the accountability, all of the rewards - because they're Eloi-Female
"Covid" was the crescendo of this. Every blue-collar guy still had to work, because, you know, they're needed for society to function. But under even worse conditions than normal. Meanwhile, white-collar Eloi-Females got a 2-3 year paid vacation. And they spent that time badgering blue-collar workers about not sufficiently jumping through the humiliation-ritual regulatory hoops that they constructed for them to feel Superior to them
And despite all this, blue-collar work would STILL be almost as desirable as white-collar work, JUST because you don't have to be around Eloi-Females.....if it wasn't for mass immigration. Mass immigration has not only destroyed blue-collar wages, but it has destroyed the male camaraderie that made it enjoyable to go to work every day. Instead of working with other regular White guys, you're working with brown immigrants and the remaining low-quality White guys who can't do any better

In blue collar work they'd just fire you for cause, you get no severance, and they'll badmouth you to the other proles. In white collar work you offer to resign, keep the place on LinkedIn for two months, get severance, and a neutral if not positive recommendation.
